Question about Compaq Presario Notebook
On a Compaq Presario V2000 PC?
If I remove the existing 512 MB chip, and replace with two 1 GB chips, what procedure do I follow, and will I lose anything stored, by removing the existing chip?
No problem in replacing the RAM chip modules, just make sure you ground yourself so you don't have any static electrical charge when you handle the memory modules.
Just power off the laptop before you remove and replace the RAM.
You won't lse anything as the info. is stored on the hard disk..
