When watching cable TV, there's a little display box in the top right hand corner of the screen that occasionally comes up. It shows "Signal: Analog" and then switches display of "Mono" and "Stereo" below that. Does anyone know what I can do about this?

Buy another HDMI cable.Try another HDMI cable with another HDMI hub on the tv port.If u still have the same problems, mean the whole main tv Tuner signal board have problems and the caused.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a whole new refurbish tv Tuner signal board for the replacement.
This usually happens when you are connecting a cable box or satellite tv box to the television with a coaxial cable. In order to get this to stop you have to connect the cable box or satellite tv box to the television with an RCA/composite cable. Then you will have to change inputs to the appropriate one with the input button on the television (press it repeatedly) or with the input button on the Sharp remote (press is and then scroll down with the down arrow and press enter).
If you are not using a cable box or satellite tv receiver you can try connecting a signal booster to your coaxial cable but that is not guaranteed to work.
This problem very common in sharp tv.The POWER,OPC flashes.First turn on have power LED indicator light stable at all? Tries the power again couple times will have backlight come back on,than it will work. Not at all more than 5-6 times than ur main turner signal board is the problem, must replaced.
Unplug TV set from the outlet, wait 30 seconds, plug it back in, select right input with your remote if you using cable box or Punch the channel that you want to watch if you have cable service connected directly to the TV.
You should be watching your dvd's on an input and not on tv analog 3. Every time the tv "senses" a signal change in the audio that screen will pop up. Connect the DVD player to the tv by using either the red, white and yellow (composite) connections or using the green, blue, red, white and red (component). Once you are on an actual input that box will stop popping up.
