Photosmart 130 I was recently in contact with you concerning my Photosmart 130. I heard from several HP personnel but was unable to resolve the problem.The printer serial number is TH263210KW and it was purchased about 4 years ago.The paper goes into the printer to the rear, but will jnot return through and print. When the paper gets to the rear of the printer the PRINT light starts flashing. I have installed a new cartidge but the problem persists.Can you help?Caryll Forbes. HP Photosmart scanner problems

Check to make sure you have the correct driver for your operating syytem; are you running Windows 7 (32-bit) or Windows (64-bit)?

Go to Start > Device and Printers > System Check under System type to confirm your operating system.

If you do not have the correct driver you can download from here. Make sure you also download the three (3) Utility- Diagnostic Tools. These may be able to help resolve your problem if you do not already have them.

If you feel you have the correct driver properly installed try running the Scan Diagnostic Tool. If you are unsure about the driver I would start there with an uninstall of the current driver and download of an updated driver for the installed operating system.

If this does not resolve problems work through the advice provided in the on-line resources linked above.

please call the HP toll free no if the printer is in warranty they will definetley help resolve this issue as i am unable to diagnose the issue.

Check the configuration set for incoming FAX and rectify the settings may resolve your problem.

go to following location and try to scan and tell me if it is scanning fine or same issue.

c:\program files\hp\digital imaging\bin in bin folder locate following files. /* in 64bit operating system inspite of program files look into programe files(x86).*/
1.> hpqscnvw
2.> hpqscnappi
3.> hpqdstcp.
4.> hpqgrpky.

double click on any of these it will start scanning.

This is a serious hardware issue in the unit and in most cases , the unit needs to be replaced, so there is a less chance of the issue getting resolved.
