This model does not have a HDMI outlet/port.
It does have a VGA port and if your TV has a 15pin VGA connector then you can connect your computer into this VGA (computer) port.

not sure if your lcd is bad or your display card is bad but try hooking your home monitor up to you laptop vga output and press thr fn button and the lcd button at the same time to toggle display to and from lcd. the lcd button is usualy located in the "F" keys at the top of your keyboard. Also check this link because this is a common issue with hp and they may fix for free

Shut down the system (power off, not hibernate) and then turn it back on.
As soon as the Windows logo appears, hit the "F6" key, once or twice per second, and keep hitting it until you get a boot menu.
The boot menu will be plain text (no graphics, no windows, no mouse cursor, etc) listing things like:
