Question about DISH Network IR Remote Control
Only the volume and the power button works
It sounds like the remote just needs to be readdressed. There are a few ways to access the system information screen. One option would be to press the 'Sys Info' button on the front of the receiver if it is available. If it isn't, power the receiver into standby mode, then press the up arrow on the receiver.
Once you're on the system information screen, you can address the remote! Let me know if you need the steps to do that.

First before trying to repair the remote lets try to just reprogram it. The easiest way to do this is to do a search. 1st Turn the tv on, then on the remote press and hold the tv button until it flashes. Next press the tv power button. Next press the up arrow button slowly until the tv turns off. Then hit the # key. Now if you pressed the up arrow to many times and the tv doesn't respond to the remote just start the process over, except using the up arrow use the down. You may have to push the up arrow button many times before it finds the code. The batteries usually last quite a while since there are 4 of them. If this doesn't work call 1-800-333-dish they will either send out a tech or just mail you a new one. If you have the user guide for the 722 the instructions to do this are on page 82.

go here "http://www.dishnetwork.com/support/documents/receivers/default.aspx" to find your remote, then look at the literature to see if Bose is listed or for the code scanning for your remote. good luck!

If you have replaced batteries and had a new remote sent out to you, either the Vizio TV is emitting an IR signal that is interfering with the remote IR signal to the receiver. To test if the TV is emitting interference, is it possible for you to turn the receiver in a direction away from the TV and see if the remote will work? If it does work after moving the receiver, that indicates interference from the TV. If it doesn't change the situation, you might check for other interference from other components (florescent lights, etc.). I hope this helps.
