It doesn't. Only a power surge strip does this function. Always use one! I have 3 in my room. Good luck with that.

Why does the frfgidaire affinity washer has foul oder ?

Good Morning Friend,

I understand you have an odor in your Frigidaire Affinity washer, model# ATF7000E. Please try cleaning the inside of your washer by trying the following:

• Before cleaning the washer interior, unplug the electrical power cord to avoid electrical shock hazards.
• Dry around the washer door opening, flexible gasket, and door glass. These areas should always be clean to ensure a water tight seal.
• When extremely soiled items have been washed, a dirty residue may remain on the drum. Remove this by wiping the drum with a nonabrasive household cleanser. Rinse thoroughly with water.
• The plastic drum vanes may become stained from fabric dye. Clean these parts with a nonabrasive household cleanser. This prevents dye transfer to future loads.

To prevent the odor from coming back please try the following:

• Remove items from the washer as soon as the cycle ends. Excess wrinkling, color transfer, and odors may develop in items left in the washer.
• Periodically, wipe dry the bottom of the flexible gasket to remove lint and other debris.
• If there are no small children present, leave the door ajar to prevent odor build up and to improve venting of the unit.

I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to advise if further troubleshooting is needed or if your appliances status has changed successfully. Hope this is helpful.

-Best Regards-

Benefits of a UPS (Uninterrupted power supply

We all use many devices and equipments that run on electricity. For all these to function properly they need uniform power supply (constant flow of electricity). As the electric supply in many countries is not uniform there is a need for a device to correct it. There are many such devices available in the market today. For example UPS (Uninterrupted power supply), Voltage Stabilizer, Constant Voltage Transformer are such devices available today.<br /> <br /> <b><u>Why buy a UPS?</u></b><br />We can never guarantee that we will get constant power. The power supply always has fluctuations. Surges, Spikes, Brownouts, Blackouts and Noise can damage your electrical appliances especially your computer. To prevent this from happening you need a device that does power conditioning. Electricity has to be uninterrupted. If the voltage is higher than the specified level then it is 'Over Voltage'. If the voltage is lower than the specified level then it is 'Under Voltage'. Both Spike and Surge come under 'Over Voltage' category. But there is a small difference between spike and surge. If there is very high voltage for an instant but comes back to normal immediately then it is called 'Spike'. If there is very high voltage for a slightly longer period then it is called 'Surge'. If the voltage is dangerously reduced to very low within a short period of time then it is called 'Brownout'. When this happens, the computer can be seriously damaged. If the power supply is totally cut then it is called 'Blackout'. Noise can mix with electromagnetic or radio waves or any signals. This is called 'Line Noise'. This may also reduce the voltage level to very low within a short period of time.<br /> <br /> <b><u>How can the UPS provide power when the main electrical supply is cut?<br /></u></b>A UPS has an internal battery. With this battery charger, an Inverter is also present. The inverter converts the 'Direct current' supplied by the battery to 'Alternatinc current' as required by the computer. When there is electrical supply the charger in the UPS charges the internal battery. When there is a power cut, the battery kicks in to supply the DC which is converted to AC by the inverter and power is supplied to computer.<br /> <b></b> <br /> <b><u>What if the battery loses its power?</u></b><br />When there is power cut, the required power is taken from the battery. Therefore the battery keeps losing its capacity. If the power supply comes back before the battery is depleted then the battery charger will start recharging, but if the power supply doesn't come back then the battery keeps supplying until it totally drains out. When the battery drains below a certain level the UPS sounds an alarm for your to shut down your computer and turn off the UPS. Some UPS' even have a built in system that shuts your computer down for you after a certain amount of UPS uptime.<br /> <b></b> <br /> <b><u>How long can the UPS provide power when there is a blackout?</u></b><br />This all depends on the specifications of the UPS and the requirement of the computer. A 600vA UPS for example can supply power to a computer with a 550W power supply for about 10 minutes or more.<br /> <b></b> <br /> <b><u>Tips for buying an UPS</u></b><br />The backup time of your UPS is the most important you need to consider. Other than that, you should know how many KVA (Kilo Volt Ampere) your UPS has. A computer needs atleast 0.5 KVA (500VA) to function. If you are planning to connect more than one computer to a single UPS then you need to get one with a higher KVA.<br /> <b></b> <br /> <b><u>What type of battery does a UPS use?</u></b><br />UPS uses <b>SMF</b> batteries (Sealed Maintenance Free). These type of batteries can be used for 5 to 7 years continuously.

My ASUS laptop F8OL always shutdown when temperature rises on top of my keyboard on the left handside but my ASUS NB Probe did not give a warning and itsays Normal, can you help me out

Your laptop shuts itself down to due to overheating. It does this to prevent damage to your components. This may have been caused by one of a combination of the following reasons:

1. Faulty fan.
2. Dust preventing the fan to supply enough air into the board.

Solution: Clean or replace the Fan.

Cleaning the fan isn't a job for the rookies so I suggest you take your laptop to the computer repair shops and have them service it. Unless you know what you're doing. This procedure can damage your laptop entirely.

Hope this helps.

No spin, water fills and drains

That happens because there is a conponent on the electric conponent board wich is damaged or non funcional. Happened to me too and had to change a few capacitors, reles and triacs wich were preventing the machine to spin. By doing this you can spend about 25 to 40$ on conponents. Feel free to ask anything else

Seems the problem is with the elctrical in the house (built in '05). 2nd time oven has fried control board; microwave once; pc once. Neighbors have no such probs. Where do I go from here?

An old fridge / freezer is the most likely suspect for power spikes within your own premises leading to damage to electronic appliances. Failing that, arc welders or any electric motor which frequently cuts in an out (air conditioner, compressor, etc).

You can have a surge diverter installed in your switchboard, this will resolve any spikes that arrive at your switchboard from the power grid and spikes that are generated on other circuits in the house. However, be aware that this may not be sufficient to protect equipment on the same circuit as the spike-producing equipment. Surge protected power boards or adapters can help protect sensitive equipment or quarantine a fridge or similar appliance responsible for generating the spikes, although the best solution is to identify the cause and remove it.

I have a 2002 Jeep Liberty, my airconditioning is blowing hot air. I could hear a clicking sound from my compressor area, so I pop the hood, and the sound is from the gear not turning. I could also see my...

You are low on refrigerant,, whats happening is the low pressure switch hits cut out settings to prevent compresser damage, hence the pressure drop, once the pressure comes back up on the suction side, compresser is engaged again and cuts out, this happens very rapidly, sooo, purge and recharge the system, add dye to it, because there is a small leak somewhere, GOOD LUCK, RDJRP
