Problem with registering Restaurant Pro Express (activation code)

I have had RPE installed in my restaurant for about 4 years, have not had too many issues until this week. I upgraded the operating system from Vista to Windows 7. That went fine until I went to start RPE , it says I need to re register and prompts for the activation code. When I enter the activation code that originally came with the product it says it was already used so no good. I cannot get any response either by email or phone from PCAmerica. Can't even get real person. Any ideas? Thanks.

You need to contact your original sales rep. If you bought it as a package or ebay deal, this makes it a little more difficult. I might be able to get it re-registered thru my sales rep. If interested, contact me.

Your getting a connection successful because your looking at the localhost. The server would be the network name of your server. And the password is case sensitive and is pcAmer1ca. (Note the number 1, not an i)

I can setup floor plans, employees, & configure menus including modifiers (eg. how would you like that cooked?). I charge $12/hr to setup menus approx 8 hrs for a 2 page menu. Gina 773-807-2000

How do I take Restaurant Pro Express out of Enterprise Mode? I'm trying to restore the database from a backup but that is not allowed while RPE is in Enterprise Mode.

Station asking to register


Are you running this station wirelessly? Last I checked, pcAmerica does not recommend using wireless workstations. Correct your wireless problem. This is not related to RPE. Or run a temporary line to workstation. Verify you are connected to your network and re-register RPE.

Does it send to kitchen at all? When you hit resend, are items listed set to go to kitchen in inventory setup? If they are, you may need to reload/repair RPE.

How to delete restaurant pro and start over


Backup database first.
Log your license key by trying to register. It should display.
Uninstall RPE from Programs in Control Panel. Then search for the CRE.net folder and rename it CREOLD.net. Then reload RPE.
After install, it will ask you to re-register. It will also ask you if you want to keep existing database. If you are starting from scratch, choose over write with a new one. Otherwise, keep existing db. This will preserve your inventory and menu setup.

Installing restaurant pro express v12.5 help


If you are installing it for the first time, then you should have free tech support from PCAmerica. Take advantage of it and keep on them till it is working correctly. If you are out of warranty period, uninstall RPE from Control Panel after you record your license key number. Then delete any and all CRE folders and content from your hard drive. Empty Recycle bin and reboot. Then reinstall RPE.

I setup a POS for a chain restaurant. I get the PC America with the DELL advertise. This is what I understand. The Main office: PC w/ The RPE Enterprise version. The remote site ( Restaurant) : PC w/ RPE...


I'm not quite sure what your problem is. Do you need help with the entire setup? You should have 3 months of free tech help from PCAmerica if you just purchased/registered this software.

Restauarnt pro express link with credit cards


if you're using PCC, you should try to process directly through the PCC program, if that works, most likely the only thing you have to do is go in to RPE, then setup screen and set the directory where PCC is (usually this is active charge directory for payment server, or pcw for pccharge pro, they both work but i believe its only OFFICIALLY supported with payment server)
