What hinders water from flowing through the Cuisinart DGB-500BK?

I hear the brewing bubbling and trying to begin, but aside from a very few drops, and plenty of condensation within the carafe, no water (or coffee, if I'm using grounds) feeds into the pot. All the water remains in the reservoir. Presently, I am attempting the brew process using coffeemaker cleaner powder dissolved in cold water, in case this is just a simple calcification issue, but it's not making a difference. And I'm even using the 1-4 cup brew setting to boost the heat, too. Any ideas?

SOURCE: Cuisinart DCC2000 quits brewing after 1or 2 cups

I have the same problem with the exact same coffee maker I have tried pushing the 1-4 cups button. That worked for a couple weeks, now it is back to only brewing half the water in reservoir whether I push the 1-4 button or not. It is very annoying.

Finally, I got my coffee pot to run through without stopping several times. To fix it I had to run vinegar through eight times! Never before has it taken so many cycles to clean out a pot. It is still spluttering a bit so today I am going to get more vinegar or maybe even CLR and run it through a few more times.

I just called Cuisinart and they will send me another brew basket for my DCC-100 (it has a Brew Pause valve also) for $9.14 (part + S&H). Did you try to contact Cuisinart?

No one has just the individual part, but you can get the whole brew basket with the part included on Cuinart's website, or by calling them.

SOURCE: Cuisinart Grind & Brew DGB-600 fills up water in goldtone filter;

Some fine-grain coffees are too fine for the Gold Tone Filter. If this is the case, remove the Gold tone Filter and use paper filters only. You may have to wash excess grinds out of the black filter basket, since there may be a few stuck in there now - don't take the filter basket apart - just rinse it out with water.

Also, don't use a paper filter and the gold tone filter at the same time.

Good luck!

Brewed coffee overflowed on to warmer plate. Now water does not heat and flow and warmer plate does not heat up.

Unless it is an expensive brewer, get a new one. The brewer needs the bottom plate to heat in order for it to work at all. Should be imune getting wet though, but sounds like bad heating element.

This coffee maker (10 c maker with grinder) beeps it's done every few minutes with water left. we have to brew about 5 times for a full pot, what gives?

Presume this is the Grind & Brew Thermal™ 10-Cup Automatic Coffeemaker, Model # DGB-600BCC

An instruction booklet is available here: http://www.cuisinart.ca/pdf/ibs/en/DGB-600BCC_en.pdf

Review the sections beginning on page 11 of the pdf on Turning Off the Grind Function (if not using the grind feature) and Making Coffee.

Make sure you are turning off the grind function if using preground coffee and that the reservoir lid is securely closed.

Check the Cups Setting button; is sounds like the 1-4 feature may be turned on.

Water doesn't flow through DGB-900

You should download manual if you dont have it. I was having problems with mine read the manual and worked. I think you might have to program it like I did. I set the clock and then programed it for half and hour later and it worked. You have to program it when light is blinking and same for when you are setting the time.Hope that helps.

Condensation- Cuisinart coffeemaker DGB-300

The condensation is normal, not just with this Cuisinart Grind n Brew, but with ALL Cuisinart Grind n Brews - because of this, you will really need to clean it after every use if you want the grinder portion to last long. As far as the bean amt - Cuisinart bases it's reccomendations on a smaller-than-normal coffee cup size of 5 ozs or so. Plus, the condensation, as you mentioned, will prevent a certain portion of the grinds from flowing to the brew/filter basket. Add more beans or less water to make a stronger cup.
