I hear the brewing bubbling and trying to begin, but aside from a very few drops, and plenty of condensation within the carafe, no water (or coffee, if I'm using grounds) feeds into the pot. All the water remains in the reservoir. Presently, I am attempting the brew process using coffeemaker cleaner powder dissolved in cold water, in case this is just a simple calcification issue, but it's not making a difference. And I'm even using the 1-4 cup brew setting to boost the heat, too. Any ideas?

I have the same problem with the exact same coffee maker I have tried pushing the 1-4 cups button. That worked for a couple weeks, now it is back to only brewing half the water in reservoir whether I push the 1-4 button or not. It is very annoying.

Finally, I got my coffee pot to run through without stopping several times. To fix it I had to run vinegar through eight times! Never before has it taken so many cycles to clean out a pot. It is still spluttering a bit so today I am going to get more vinegar or maybe even CLR and run it through a few more times.

I just called Cuisinart and they will send me another brew basket for my DCC-100 (it has a Brew Pause valve also) for $9.14 (part + S&H). Did you try to contact Cuisinart?

No one has just the individual part, but you can get the whole brew basket with the part included on Cuinart's website, or by calling them.

Some fine-grain coffees are too fine for the Gold Tone Filter. If this is the case, remove the Gold tone Filter and use paper filters only. You may have to wash excess grinds out of the black filter basket, since there may be a few stuck in there now - don't take the filter basket apart - just rinse it out with water.
Also, don't use a paper filter and the gold tone filter at the same time.
Good luck!
