Watermixernotlethotflow

Dear Ed,
To save some money and effort, get an electric meter and check to wires to the water mixer to see if the electricity is coming to the mixer when you tell it to use the "hot".
Then, check the filter screen either in the hot water hose (found on either end) or the hot water connection in the mixing valve.
They can plug up with sediment preventing water flow.
Finally, you can change the mixing valve it you are sure the electricity is coming to it during the hot cycle, and you are sure the water is flowing freely out of the hot water hose.
God bless your efforts.

I'm having a problem with my zanussi fla1101w the water dosen't get hot anymore. The hot and cold inlets are connected correctly thanx

sounds like a bad mixer valve -- it could be getting power to the mixer valve but it is stuck and not opening. use a meter to check for voltage at the mixer and if you have voltage then the mixer is bad and needs to be replaced. if you do not have voltage at the mixer then the problem could be at the main board.

We have both hot and cold hoses going into washing machine but cannot get anything but cold or lukewarm water no matter what setting we choose. The pipe leading into the hot water hose feels warm and we...

sounds like the mix valve on the washer is broken and not opening properly -- the mix valve is the valve that both hot and cold water are connected to on the back of the machine.. turn off water valves and remove the hoses,, remove the back panel from the washer -- the mixer is held in place by one little screw,, also mark the wires going to the mixer ( hot/cold ) --- remove the mixer valve and take it down to your local appliance repair shop and match it up to a new one -- install the new mixer and connect wires and panel and then hoses and all will be working good as new.

Water continues to fill machine,i can even have the machine off and unpluged and water will still fill machine

this is caused by a bad mixer valve. ( it is stuck in a open position ).
to fix this problem you will need to undue the hoses from the machine and remove the back panel of the washer, remove and replace the mixer valve. ( mixer valve is held in place by one small screw -- take note to what wires go to the hot side and what wires go to the cold side ).

Machine does not turn off even if the cycle knob is pushed down in the off position. Water continues to flow when the machine is in the off position

Sounds like water solenoid valve has failed, it is fairly easy to replace. Valve is located near water hose connection

Kenmore series 80 washing machine overfills, it will not start washing, it just fills and runs over

Hi, The first part to check is the inlet valve. If you shut the washer off, will the water stop? If the water continues when the power is off to the washer, change the inlet/mixer valve.
If the water stops filling when the power to thee washer is shut off, the water level switch needs checked.
Please let em know if either of these help so I can assist you further.

Take the cold side off and look for a little screen. Either in the hose or where the hose connects to the washer. clean the screen and you should be all right.

Fills with water when not in use.

Hi, If the washer fills up when off, you will need to change the inlet mixer valve. Do you have to shut the water source valve off to keep it from filling up?
Please let me know so I can assist you further.

Thanks

NO WATER OR SPARADIC WATER

Hi, Does the cold water valve hum when you start the washer? Put settings on cold and start washer. If the valve hums, remove the hose and check to see if there is sand or rust plugging the screen (DO NOT remove the screen) Just scrap it or flush it with the cold water hose. If the valve does not hum, you will need to change the mixer iblet valve. Please let me know if I can assist you further or order you the part you need.

Thanks
Vic
