Question about iHome iP1 Speaker System for your iPhone iPod iP1 iP1

Open Question

Ihome ip1 dock not working

I know the speakers work because I can play songs from my computer thru the audio in port. So I'm pretty sure it's the dock that is broken. If my ipod is tilted to the right the right speaker will play but if it sits level the left speaker will come on for a split-second then the ihome turns off. So specifically the left side of the dock is causing a problem.

Why won't my hp elitebook 8540p speakers work while in the docking station, connected only to external mouse and monitor?

You can switch audio playback between the docking station and your Surface speakers. Here's how:
Step 1: Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and tap Search.
(If you're using a mouse, point to the upper-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer down, and then click Search.) Step 2: In the search box, enter manage audio, and in the search results tap or click Manage audio devices. Step 3: Next, do one of the following:
  • To play audio through the audio port on the docking station, tap or click Speakers (CNXT Audio).
  • To play audio through the Surface speakers:
    • On Surface Pro 2 or Surface Pro 3, tap or click Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio).
    • On Surface Pro, tap or click Speakers (2-High Definition Audio Device).
Step 4: Tap or click Set Default, and then tap or click OK.

I have a JBL Radial and my Iphone 4s won't recognise it! I used to work fine but now will take over ten attempts to get it to realise the speaker is there! It charges but won't play the music through the...

I have the same problem, my dock was broken, but I got round it instantly by plugging my ipod into the speaker via the headphone port on the ipod and into the audio in port on the speaker. When new, the speaker actually came with a spare lead as you can plug any mp3 player into it this way. The sound quality seems exactly the same and I dont have to throw away the speakers, hurray! If you have lost the lead you need a 3.5 mm male to male headphone lead, just pence in any electrical shop or amazon.

Toshiba satellite m105 s3041 sound only works through headphones

Go to your "Start" menu at the bottom, left of your computer's desktop. Select "Control Panel" from the menus. Select "Sounds and Audio Devices" in the Control Panel.

Look at the settings under the "Volume" tab. Make sure the slider is not turned down. If it is all the way to the left, you need to move it more to the right. Make sure the "Mute" button is not checked.

  • Go to the "Audio" tab. There you will see "Audio Playback" with a drop-down box. Make sure it is set to your computer's sound card. For example, if your computer uses Sigma Tel Audio, make sure that is the name in the drop-down box. If it isn't, then change it to read your sound card's name. If you still do not hear sound, your speakers may be damaged.
  • 7 Test your speakers on another computer before you decide if they are broken. The input jack on your computer might be the problem.

  • God bless you

I bought an ihome p90 it wont play my ipod touch

It is very possible that the ihome p90 is not compatible with the ipod touch. unfortunately for us, the different generations of ipods are not all the same and not all work on different docks. To verify that your itouch is not the problem, borrow someone elses and try to see if that will play. I'm willing to bet that its just the dock that is not compatible with that specific version of the itouch.
    Good luck
