I've done an alignment a number of times but each time i turn on my computer a message box comes up that says " if you have changed ink cartridges you should do an alignment" , or something to that effect. How do I get rid of that annoyance?
You have to complete the alignment steps by scanning the page after it prints (put the printed page on glass and press scan button) . i hope that is helpful

Single left click the "Align Print Cartridges" option to open the "Alignment Page" window. Single left click "Align." Step4Wait while the printer prints an alignment page. Examine the alignment page carefully and select the option that appears to be most correctly aligned. Select that option by single left clicking the corresponding option on the drop-down choices in the alignment window. Step5Single left click the "Done" button once you have entered all appropriate options. Wait while the printer prints a confirmation page. hope this helps

had the same problem
I just kept putting it in and taking it out until the msg stopped.
also sometimes when you see this msg you can push the ok button and the printer will go to correct mode.

Is this a Hp cartridge or a cheaper brand?
I got this error myself too with cheaper cartridges.
You cal solvo this error by buying the original Hp cartridges

hi....when it ask for align it will print one page with lines etc. After printing just place the paper on scanner of the printer . printing side down and press the scan button..it will blink for some time and stop. now when u print anything on it it will not print align page. just remember that whenever u change the cartridge u have to repeat the same process.....
