How do you remove the cover of a toshiba satellite p305d to get to the power jack

Hi, you can follow this guide here http://www.insidemylaptop.com/repair-damaged-power-jack-toshiba-satellite-l305-l355-laptops/ , not my guide but the method apparently is similar to the p305d if you read further down .

I have a toshiba satellite A205 and did a bios update now it won't power up, can anyone help me

Updating bios is a very dangerous thing to do. If power went out during updates then you just have yourself a good looking paper weight. Anyway try to check the cables and check if you still have a good power supply if still no go...getting a new mobo is wise.

Laptop

Hi, sounds like a loose component inside your computer. Probably not worth looking at yourself if it's in warranty, get it sent back to Toshiba.

Toshiba satellite p30 133

possibly memory chip or hard drive failure,
swap ram chips around to see if that fixes it .

if you have the ability, try the drive in another pc,it will not boot fully but you will be able to tell if it is working ok, else it looks like a service on the cards.

good luck
Terry
