Question about LG LRE30451 Electric Kitchen Range

1 Answer

LG LRE30451 won't maintain temperature

Our LG range is 4-5 years old. For the past year or so I've noticed things were taking longer and longer to cook. I shut the oven off once and reset it and the temperature had dropped almost 100 degrees. Now I have to re-start the overn every 15-20 mins to 'force' it to return to temp. Anyone else had this problem or know how to fix it?

Check the oven temperature probe (thermister) to see if it is good. To check it, use a multi-meter and Ohm it out. It should be between 1100 and 1600 Ohms. If it is out of tolerance, you will need to replace it. Here is the part to order.

I have the same problem with the LG LSB5682SW Electric Range - Font Left Burner will not go off / stays on high. This is very dangerous. LG customer service is horrendous. I think it is time for a recall before someone's house burns down!

Screen won't light up

If your phone screen won't light up then you will need to take the phone into to a repair store unless your phone is less than a year old. All cellphones have a manufacturer's warranty or if you have insurance on the phone. If its less than a year old then take it to your provider in the store because it falls under lg to fix/replace your phone.

I have a Kenmore 54701 70 pint dehumidifier about 4/5 years. It has worked well until recently. It is hooked up to a garden hose into a drain. I noticed water was dripping from the housing. The drain is...

Marco, There are 4 things than can cause the problem. All are solvable.

1. The air intake filter is dirty or clogged. Remove and clean the filter if necessary.

2. Obstructed air flow. Maintain a minimum of 12 to 18" of clear air
space around the entire unit.

3. Cooling coils are dirty and need to be cleaned. Use warm water & dish washing liquid to
clean the coils. Rinse and wipe dry. Apply a light coating of WD40 to the coils.

4. Ambient air temperature at floor level is between 40 - 60 degrees.
dehumidifiers do not work well between those temperatures
(Unless, you have a Low Temp Unit). This applies mainly to
where the air temperature at floor level is colder than at shoulder level
in basement applications. Raising the unit up off the floor,
onto a sturdy table, counter top, etc, that can handle the weight
of the unit, plus a full tank of water, will usually resolve this
problem.

If none of the above solves the problem, it may be a case of the compressor needs to be recharged with refrigerant gas or that the humidity condenser sensor has failed. These things usually occur in units that are 5 years old or older.

Hope this helps you to troubleshoot & solve the problem. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

Deumidifier is running but the bucket won't collect any water. I've set the desired humidity level to 35% (ambient humdity is 75%) as well as cleaned the filter

There are 5 basic, yet solvable reason for what you described. The first 2, you have already covered. If our unit is operating in a basement, pay close attention to # 5.

1. The humidity extraction level is set to HIGH. Lower it to 32-35%.

2. Air intake filter is dirty or clogged. Turn unit OFF, & Unplug the
Unit, before removing to inspect & clean it, if necessary. If washed,
allow filter to completely dry before reinstalling. DO NOT operate
the unit without the filter.

3. Obstructed air flow. Maintain a minimum of 12 to 18" of clear air
space around the entire unit.

4. Cooling coils are dirty and need to be cleaned. Use warm water & dish washing liquid to
clean the coils. Rinse and wipe dry. Apply a light coating of WD40 to the coils.

5. Ambient air temperature at floor level is between 40 - 60 degrees.

If none of the above solves the problem, it may be a case of the compressor needs to be recharged with refrigerant gas or that the humidity condenser sensor has failed. These things usually occur in units that are 5 years old or older. It's rare in a unit younger than that. But, it can happen.

I hope this was of help to you. Thanks for choosing FixYa.

We've only had our dehumidifier for 3 years. It runs but does not collect water.... LG model #LH45E-LT8

Usually there are 5 basic causes for what you have described. They are all solvable. Pay particular attention to numbers 1 & 2.

1. The humidity extraction level is set to HIGH. Lower it to 32-35%.

2. Air intake filter is dirty or clogged. Turn unit OFF, remove and clean it, if necessary. If washed,
allow filter to completely dry before reinstalling. DO NOT operate the unit without the filter.

5. Ambient air temperature at floor level is between 40 - 60 degrees F. Dehumidifiers do not work
well between those temperatures (Unless, you have a Low Temp Unit). This applies mainly to
basement applications, where the air temperature at floor level is colder than at shoulder level.
Raising the unit up off the floor, onto a sturdy table, counter top, etc, that can handle the weight

One-year old LG humidifier (LD450EAL) runs but no water is being extracted from the air - the hose outlet is dry. The hose is connected properly, and the compressor sounds like it's running, not just...

Alan, it may simply be a case of several things, that can easily corrected at home.

1. The Humidity Extraction Level is set to High. Lower it to 32-35%.

2. Air intake filter is dirty or clogged. Remove, inspect the filter and clean if necessary. It it's a
Washable Filter, allow it to thoroughly dry before reinstalling it.

3. Obstructed Air Flow. A minimum of 12" to 18" clear air around the entire unit, must be
maintained.

4. The ambient air temperature at floor level is between 40 - 60 degrees F. This is particularly true in
basement applications. The air temp at floor level is colder than the air temp at shoulder level.
Dehumidifiers don't work well in that temperature range (Unless, it's a Low Temp model). Raise
the unit up off the floor on to a sturdy table, counter top, etc, that can handle the weight of the
unit, plus a full tank of water.

If you troubleshoot the 4 things listed above, it may quickly solve the problem. Please let me know. Thanks.

I have a Fedders dehumidifer model # A70145D2A-A-R. It is a few years old and it's worked pretty great but now it just runs continuously and no moisture is gathered. What can I do to fix it? I was...

You'd be hard pressed to find a Fedders like yours. They've been out of business for several years.

There are several basic things that can cause what you described.

1. The humidity extraction level is improperly set. Lower the level to 32-35%

2. A dirty of clogged air intake filter. Turn the unit OFF unplug it and remove the filter for cleaning.

3. Obstructed air space. A dehumidifier requires a minimum of 12" clear air space around the entire
unit.

4. The ambient air temperature at floor level is between 40 & 60 Degrees F. Dehumidifiers do not work well in that temperature (Except low temp models). This especially true in a basement application, because the air temperature at floor level is colder than say, chest level. Raising the unit up off the floor onto a sturdy table, cabinet top, etc, that can handle the weight of the unit, plus a full tank of water, will normally resolve that problem.

5. The cooling coils are dirty and need to be cleaned.

Critical problems:
1 The humidity sensor has failed an needs to be replaced.

2.The compressor is low on refrigerant gas and needs to be recharged.

Sometimes the repairs (Time spent finding, the Parts & labor), if necessary, can cost almost as much or as much as a new unit, which would have a full warranty.

Hope this helped you troubleshoot the basic and solvable problems and you won't need to make any critical repairs. Please let me know. Thanks.

I have a Superba built-in YKEBS 177 D56 ( dual convection/convention)...I think it might be about 10 years old. I noticed the same thing starting last year..the temperature seems a litlle off and the cook time on the convention seems to take longer. I've never used the conventional oven so I don't know if the temperature is OK on that component.
I don't have a manual. and I've been searching for it...does anyone know which one I need?
