Question about Fein FMM250Q Select Multimaster Oscillating Tool Kit
I have a fein multimaster less than 2 years old, seldom used. i turn it on and it goes to full rpm for maybe 5 seconds then constantly looses rpm.
If it has do the jobs before without any problems it can be a thermical defect inside the armature after the short start. if you are patient and wait a little time run it free for not more then about 3 minutes and after that time stop the tool you have to wait again a little time and if you feel the housing is getting warmer and warmer start to build after operation ONLY replace the armature if there is no warranty anymore. if in doubt use a canister coldspray and spray on the electronic moduul to freeze it so that it give the rpm back the change is very little but in most cases the armature is much often the problem.

Sounds like one of hte brushes is hanging up in the brush holder allowing macine to slow up. Check this 1st and make sure brushes are about 1/4" long.
