Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.

Get a Logitech Harmony Remote. It is programmed through their web site by inputting the model number of the device. Therefore, no original remote is needed, and it will work with almost any device out there. It is a bit expensive, but well worth it, IMHO.
Hope this helps,

You probably have some defective filter capacitors in the power supply. The tops of them may be domed instead of flat. Be sure to replace them with same values listed on the originals - slightly higher voltage rating is OK, but no less! Make sure they are rated at 105 degrees C and not 85 degrees.
