The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive, the same way you copy any other files. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo cataloging program.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

How do i down load a cd to my mac computer

Do you mean import? First of all you must have at least iTune install, and since you have an iMac, it should be a no brainer.
Open iTunes, on top of the status bar, click where it reads iTunes, scroll to Preference, under General, where it reads When a cd is inserted, click it and change it to Import cd.
Now every time you insert a cd (music) it will import the music to iTunes 25362854-0sq40yikwqoqfh0ynat5okty-5-0.png

Can't import to my iMac IPhoto library

if the Library is damaged then you will need to select to open it manualy or take a copy to some on with a PC so you can manual get the filed out of the library, when you have done that create a new library and import the pictures, make sure that in the settings that you put a copy in to the new library.
if you get stuck the apple.com site is good for that info.

I have a Hacker on my computer since 2 years. Please, let me get a new password. Delete Gmail and every name/address like "Jessie Gillan" the ID Thief. I cannot do anything with my iMac. Thank you, Gisela...

You should be able to recover your imac and this would wipe your unit (complete loss of data would occur) so back up anything important and then you could start fresh, you may need to contact tech support (Apple) to find out how to do this or go to the website and click on support.

I have a panasonic pv-gs32 minidv camcorder and trying to figure out how to connect it to my new 27 in imac to create movies. do i need to download to dvd first or can I import video directly from camera?

You can import directly to your imac using usb or firewire. Connect the camera using either of the interfaces and then open up imovie in your applications folder. Once open go to the file menu and then down to import from camera and then your can import from the window that comes up. If you need any more information you can get video tutorials from the help menu. Hope this helps.

In the apple list,

you've most likely got something running that is competing with processing time for your player. i'd open up activity monitor and see what processes are highest on CPU % usage. the ones that look elective (not system-related), turn 'em off. turn off spotlight for a sec too. then test your import into itunes afterwards. is it still slow?

Importing photos into I Photo

Sounds like the photos are imported based on creation date. Changing the file name will not change the order in which they are added. iPhoto looks at the files as if you were developing film. The pictures load in the order they were taken (created)
I do not belive there is a way around this unless you can somehow change the creation date before you import.
