Hi, I bought a beautiful pair of leather knee

Hi, I bought a beautiful pair of leather knee high boots by Guess a few years ago. I teally love them! They sadly now have 2 broken zipper pulls and the heels need redoing with leather. I was wondering if Guess repaired its own shoes, like Aldo does, or how I might find some of the logo zipper parts that broke off. So if anyone knows I would really love it!!! Thank you! Julie P.S. I live in Calgary, Alberta, Canada

SOURCE: Asics vs. Saucony.I've worn Saucony shoes for past

I have just switched from Saucony to Asics myself. I've always run in the Grid Omni series which is along the same lines stability wise as the Asics 2000 series I think.
But I have had two rounds of stress fractures in my left medial tibia (last one was training and running Philly this past fall).
Been doing lots of physio etc. and I decided to change shoes. I researched alot through discussion groups etc. and thought the 2130's might be good to try. I went to my running store and the owner who is super knowledgeable had me try a few pairs and she thought I rolled in less with the 1120's and a lift in the left shoe. My right leg never causes me trouble unless I try a more stable shoe. (I tried the Omni ultimates and ended up with IT band issues). Anyway, the 1120's with the lift seem to be ok so far. But I am only doing 5K treadmill runs at the moment, Can't tell yet if my shin is going to complain or not.

SOURCE: .Hello I have a pair

Hello tastyone. The easiest way is probably to take them to a shoe repair shop. If you don't want to do that, Clean the spots as good as possible, then take an artistic crayon [from a craft store or an art supply shop, and color the scratch, sometimes it works going length wise in the scratch, sometimes it works better to go back and forth across the scratch... Practice makes perfect.

4 thumbs up please. ty

i understand how much you must be loving those shoes . but for you to replace the shoe you should have warrente or gurantee for it. then only they will replace or repair it . so if have it then approach the show room where you brought it . since you are telling it has been one year just give a try because the show room person wont belive when you say you use it only few time .

if you are satisfied with my answer pls vote 3 thums up for me

SOURCE: I have a pair of Georgia Boots 11" Giant Safety

Do you have a a pair of shoes that you bought not too long ago and the sole is coming apart? If you rather not risk buying another pair of the same shoes only to have them come apart, then this is the article for you.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions Things You'll Need:

  • superglue
  • shoes to fix

1. 1

Get a tube of super glue--any brand name should do. Just the regular type should do, no need for any extra strength formulas or special types. Make sure the tube has been properly opened at this time--the seal on the tube has had a hole punched in it, in other words.

Get the shoe(s) that need its/their sole(s) fixed. Where the sole is coming apart on the shoe, squirt in a good amount of super glue, but not too much that it will gush out. (If it does, try to wipe off the excess).

Hold the sole and shoe together for the recommended drying time or until they seal. Try not to get any glue on your fingers at this time, as it can stick flesh to other objects.

The sole should be fixed at this time. Sometimes it has to be done over if the drying time hasn't been followed or the glue might have some problem with it. Repeat this procedure for other shoes to be fixed

apply the same proedure for your broken part insted of repacing it

How do I fix the zipper in my jacket?

I found a answer on google that helped me never heard before but it worked on a pair of knee high winter boots. I would have bet against it working only wore the leather boots one year. it said to get pair of pliers and gently squeeze the part the moves up and down along the teeth, the zipper had split and was a plasticky one. teeth would not join. hope this helps. it saved my boots.

Soles need to be replaced on my zip front low elastic gusseted leather Sanita boots

Polyurethane is something that breaks down if it gets in contact with organic solvents or humidity for too long. It is possible to replace the soles with other material and you will be happy with the results. I have done this with Sanita and Sika clogs and clog boots and it worked for me. I used "snow grip" soling and Topy Seville and both have worked.

How can I identify an early Givenchy bag (and its value)?

As with any high end piece the sewing will be exceptional. never vinyl or plastic. look for the correct color of ink and thread, look for straight edges and alignment when sewing on brand logo. it should look like the real thing, not off set or the wrong color. stiching will never overlap haphazzardly, if you wet the leather, it will dry if real. if you wet the leather and it does not change colors and dry it is plastic or man made. high end comes in a bag or box. now remember those are knocked off too. but they will look like it. the bag will be made of paper fabric on real fabric. check how the price tag is attached, NEVER with a plastic attachement. pretty much plastic is not going to touch the bag. so handles, buckels, bag itself will not be stored or wrapped in plastic.

Kamik champlain zipper broken

You may be able to fix it.... if it is just separated work the zipper head all the way down then use a pair of pliers gently squeeze the zipper head, top to bottom. Then run the zipper.

If the zipper is missing teeth or is unsewn ... take it to a shoe repair place and get it fixed or replaced.

How can i get my expensive shoe to shrink without ruining the leather or the boot itself?

I'm a leather worker, but I'm afraid there is no solution to this other than to wear a like a sock or something with these boots. Once it's stretched... it would take some serious measures to make it go back... often with disastrous results.

Coach Purse

I'm not sure why you have posted a solution to your own problem. But yes those are ways you can tell.

1. If it is a signature piece, the C's will start centered and go out from there. If it is leather, it will feel buttery smooth.
2. The stitching and hardware. The stitching will be tight, even and straight. There should be no loose strands or restitching. Most hardware is stamped Coach, like the snaps or buckles. You may have to really look for the stamp, like on the backs of buckles. The hardware is not cheap looking nor will it peel or crack.
3. The hangtag. It is usually leather, the same color and stitching as the bag itself. The Coach lozenge is raised from the tag, not embedded into it. On my bags, the lozenge is only stamped on one side of the tag. There are a few styles that come with metal hangtags. But, look at the metal hangtags at the link below to see what they look like. Most counterfeit come with cheap, shiny silver hangtags.
4. The lining. Signature bags never have signature lining.
5. The zippers. Coach uses YKK zippers. The logo is usually found on the side of the metal zipper pull. Coach zipper pulls are either leather, the same color/stitching as the bag or a series of metal rings.
5. Unless it is a small piece, like a wristlet, there is a creed and registration number on the inside. It is a leather patch sewn into the lining of the bag. The creed will be written in justified, capital english letters. The abbreviation No. is followed by a letter, then a one or two digit year code. For example, 6 for 1996, 06 for 2006. After the year code is another letter or one or two digits, the a dash. The numbers after the dash are the style number of the bag. If it is a factory store bag, it will either have an F before the style number or a bullseye stamp in one of the upper creed corners. If it were bought through a resale store, like TJ Maxx, there will be an X stamp on the creed.
However, counterfeit bags copy a lot of these details, so to tell the difference, you have to know the real thing. You can go to an authorized dealer to familiarize yourself and/or see the link below. On this authenticating page, there are tips and pictures of real and fake to help learn the difference,
Hope this helps
