Unless you have set a passphrase, there isn't one. When you get to the part where it asks you for a password or"phrase" just hit enter and everything should work fine. They ship from Belkin without a password in them.

Where do I fine SSID Name & Encryption Key

If you are trying to set up a router and need to establish the SSID name and WPA encryption key, you will need to sign into the router using the routers IP address. Input the userid and password, then go to the wireless network setup page. Here is where you enable wireless operation, establish the SSID, and generate the encryption key or passphrase.

If you are trying to connect to someone else's wireless network, you need to know their SSID so that when you do a search for available networks you can determine which is theirs. Once that is established, if they give you the encryption key or passphrase, you can attempt to connect to their network. With the encryption key or passphrase, you will not be able to connect.

Don't know my password

Are you looking for wireless network password or Linksys router password?
If you are trying to connect to the wireless network then it might be asking you for the wireless network key or the passphrase.
You can open the setup page of the router and check the wireless settings.

We don't know how to connect the router

Theencryption key secures your data from unauthorized access. The router's password is a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA orWPA2 encryption key. The Passphrase generates the WEP or WPA or WPA2 encryptionkey and this is in the router's wireless settings. To connect to your wireless router, configure the router'swireless settings ie SSID, plus the WPAor WPA2 encryption key and then configure wireless cards in the laptops and orcomputers with these router's wireless settings. Then the laptops and desktopcomputers can communicate with your wireless router.

I dont know my passphrase and i need it to connect to my xbox

The passphrase to the wireless encrypted network? You might have to reset the router to take the encryption off. Otherwise, try opening a web browser from a computer on the wireless network and going to the router's admin page. The password might be in there.

My wireless does not work in every room in my home? It will not connect when I'm in my bedroom. If I try to connect it asks for a passphrase or security?

Depending on the location of the router, the home's construction and other variables - it is very likely that you will not be able to connect from every room. You could purchase an upgraded antenna that will increase your range - look for antennas that are compatible with your particular router.

You're being asked for a security / passphrase in some rooms because you're probably connecting to a neighbor's secured wireless router. Without the proper credentials, you won't get in.

You could install an Access Point, or other wireless device if the extended range antennas don't work well enough for you, to provide coverage where you want it. You might also try relocating the router to a location in the middle of the furthest points you want to get access.

I reset my wireless settings - both the Name (SSID) and input a new 128 bit WEP passphrase and then generate to create a key. I then check wireless networks and refresh. The new Name (SSID) appears but...

I recommend accessing the wireless settings on your router, cut-n-paste the WEP passphrase into a text document on your desktop, then copy and paste the info when you attempt to connect the next time.

If that doesn't work perhaps you need to backup and delete any wireless profiles previously associated with this device and then try again.

Let me know if this helps..

How much space do I need?

Not exactly sure what the question is or if it is even an aircon question. If you would like to calculate the heatload for the room so that you can choose the right size aircon, you can work on around 650BTU per square meter. Then add on the heat generating factor of the various additional equipment you intend to operate in the room. Hope this helps.

Cannot connect the belkin wireless router

you do not have to restore you computer, you can still add the network again in your connections list.

first you will have to get the security code in the router

you can do this by going to a computer directly connected to the router then open the router's setu page. you may go to the router's setup page by opening your internet explorer, on the address bar type (for more information click on the manual below)

once you are in the setup page, click the wireless tab then the "security" subtab, you will be able to see your "pre-shared key" which is the security code for your network. now you may try connecting to your network using the key and once you are able to connect your network settings wll again be saved.

hope this helps.

Ok... There are tree things you need to know about securing your WI-FI network.

1: Each computer needs to have "permision" to access your WI-FI network.

2: The "Passphrase" and the "Key" are not the same thing. The "Passphrase" doesn't always work. But the "Key" should. (MACs will need the "key")

3: Some WI-FI equipment is "too old" to use 128 bit WEP or WPA.
(I don't think this aplies to your problem)
