SOURCE: Goodman Model GMNT100-4 Auto Power Down and Up until Temp.

Keep in mind all furnaces and circuit boards are not the same. Look on the back of the door to the blower compartment. You should find the list of diagnostic codes. Look up four blinks it should narrow down the problem. Although from the discription you gave it sounds lie the high limit control. When a high limit appears to be acting up it DOES NOT mean that the high limit needs replaced. The high limit just may be doing its job. This means that the furnace is overheating. Check your filters. Are all of your registers open? Is your blower set on the right speed? Is your blower going bad? Is the blower motor capacitor bad? Is your evaporator coil restricted? Just changing a high limit switch does not always solve the original problem!
Good luck....

SOURCE: My Honeywell chronotherm IV Plus thermostat intermittent problem

The Chrono Therm 3 and 4's were some of the worst products that honeywell has EVER put out. I would suggest switching to the Vision Pro 8000, please consult your local HVAC company for more information regarding the change over.

SOURCE: Induction Motor continues to run.

I'm sure you have since had this repaired and as a fellow Goodman 'blessed' I would appreciate reading your solution.
The condition you described could be caused by a failed relay or relay driver (transistor). Fortunately, the only problem we have had to date (~4 years) is a failed thermostat and a need for recharging of the AC coolant this last summer.

The fan on ford escort van 51 plate continually runs even when the ignition off

Sounds like either a temp. sensor, or a timer malfunction. There are heat sensors that make the fan run after you shut it down, until it's cooler, usually doesn't run long. You didn't mention if it continually runs, or if it shuts down after awhile. Other than taking it to a shop, check your fuses, wires connecting the fan under the hood, look for any frayed wires and/or loose clips. Good Luck. Grimm

I have a Braeburn 3200 and when the the temperature reaches the desired heat setting. The furnaces heat will shut off, but the fan will continue to run indefinetly. eventually blowing very cold air up

The fan relay is stuck in the on position. When the temperature drops the heater does not ignite because the fan is already running and ignition is locked out after the heat cycle starts an the fan turns on

Once the heater reaches the set temperature at the thermostat it shuts off.the flame goes out but the pilot light stays on. the heater will not kick back on automaticaly when it gets cold however it will...

you will have to look into why the unit is tripping and needs resetting. Heaters usually have a fan delay, meaning that when the heat is satisfied, the fan continues to run for about an minute. If not, it could cause an overheating issue and trip a safety. Look for that to start with.

I have a 1997 acura cl 3.0 everytime i turn off my car the cooling fan stays on for quite awhile

The cooling fan is controlled by a heat sensor and operates independently of the motor. When you turn off your Acura, the cooling fan continues to run until the sensor determines the tempurature has decreased enough to turn off the fan

After one heat cycle, the blower motor keeps running, even after cool down is complete. The furnace will not refire until i turn off the power and wait about 20 minutes for a reset.

your limit switch is opening up, that causes constant fan. Check for flashing codes after flame shuts off and fan continues. Check airflow, filters, lack on return air for possible hi temp limit problems.

Hi, I have a Dayton 3ug73 heater. The heater will not shut down after the initial heat requirement is met. I have the thermostat set on low but it continues to heat. I shut the power off to it to keep...

It sounds to me like your thermostat may be bad. I would check power incoming to t-stat then turn temp. setting up and down to see if it is switching on and off. If not then replace. If it does then I would check all wiring to gas valve and if power is shutting off to valve but burner continues then replace gas valve. Thank you.

Fan running constantly in the house

Check t-stat and make sure fan is set to "Auto", that might be why fan is running all the time, or it could be a fan relay that is stuck closed. It sounds like you A/C is over charged or you have a bad high pressure switch, this was a common problem with this manufacture especially in the heat mode.

Fan is still running in house constantly

Check your wall thermostat to make sure the "fan" switch is in the "auto" position. If it is set at the "on" position, the indoor fan WILL run continuously. Not really enough info as to what type of split system you have. Gas? Electric? Heat pump? Oil? Wood? Newspapers? See what I mean? Is it variable speed? Do you have a "special" thermostat for certain operations? Does your system incorperate inverter technology?
