Dyson o7 animal pick up problems

It picks up dirt and dog hair but it won't pick up fuzz. I have dark carpet and my husband wears white socks that get lint on it. Why do I have to go over the same piece of fuzz 6 or 8 times from 4 different directions and it still doesn't always get it. I have cleaned every filter in the vacuum that it mentions in the directions. It's very frustrating.
thanks for ny help before hand.

Hi.

If your machine is A few years old it may need new brush roller fitted.

To check roller for wear lie machine on the floor & pull back head end as if vaccuming carpet.

Now get A rule or straight edge hold this over brush roller & sole plate oppening.

Now rotate brush slowly by hand the bristles of the brush should just kiss the edge of rule. If ther is a gap you will need toreplace the roller.

The filters probably need cleaning. The filters on new Dysons block very quickly initially because of how much they pick up. Youll probably remember the feelings of astonishment and shame at how much dirt was picked up on first use. I know I was

My vacuum engineer friend loves Dysons ~ he says that they keep him in business!!
The only machine that I have found any use on animal hairs is the Miele Cat'n'Dog model.
The turbo brush is excellent.
Dogs shed most of the time so that means to keep onto of the hairs you need to vacuum most of the time (once a day!).

Pricey but mine is brilliant.
Dyson's are cheaper and now you know why!
Good luck

What's the best vacuum for pet hair?

Try a bagless vacuum cleaner as hair blocks up bags very quickly. One that is around 2000 watts should have enough power to do the job. As for the price check appliance stores for sales and deals.

Vacuum throws dirt onto machine and not in it

Hi its Darran at Dyson.

It sounds as though your machine is blocked. This is why the dirt is being dropped back out on your floor and also why the bin is not filling up.

Simply follow the blockage procedure in your user guide, or on our website at www.dyson.com. Visit the support section and you will be able to download a user guide. This will also allow you to confirm if the machine is correctly assembled and that there are no parts missing on disconnected.

Kind regards
Darran

My filter is always full of dog hair on my animal. What is causing this. I have to clean the filter each week . Dirt seems to always be trapped in the filter also.

I have same cyclonic as you.  I also have a Miele Pull-along.  I use the cyclonic for fine dust after picking up the hairs with the Miele.

Much quicker in the long run.

Otherwise I would waste a lot of time cleaning out the Dysan Cyclonic.

MY DYSON DCO7 DOES NOT PICK UP FUZZ AND HAIR FROM CARPETS

check if brushroll still spins when it comes in contact with the carpet. Your belts could be so stretched that its just slipping on the brushroll.

Not picking up fuzz

I've had a similar problem with my DC07 Animal, although there WAS suction and the machine seemed in otherwise good condition, the vacuum seemed to be working normally, yet very little was vacuumed up. I would go over and over sections of carpet and get very little debris in the container. In my case, the cleaning brush roller bar was competely covered in debris (hair, dirt, string, stuffing from our chewed up dog toys, etc.). I removed the bottom cover and manually removed all this debris from the cleaner/brush roller, reattached the cover and it worked like new with great suction.
