Question about Televison & Video
The unit power is on, disc comes up on screen with the option to click on Play, the Disc light which is usually Green when playing is now red. The unit was working fine I was playing a disc, then I switched the ignition off. When I switched the ignition on again later in the dayit started ok the unit it recognized the disc but when I clicked on the Play button nothing happens. I then tried to eject the disc but it wouldn't eject.

SOURCE: Cannot play this disc
remove the cover and see if the dvd run, if not you got a motor problem or a motor drive one,if yes then try cleaning the reading eyes(pickup)by blowing dry air (get a can at radio shack)check for goods, if dosent work, take it to a shop for a repair thats all you can do, is a job for a tech....good luck

This just worked for me. Don't know how long it will last though. I found it on this webpage
To do a reset:
On the remote control press the SETUP button,
Press the right key on the remote 3 times,
The Preference page will show up,
Press the down arrow five time to highlight
"default", hit right arrow to highlight "reset"
Press enter to reset. Turn off/on machine, etc.

Might be the type of movie - some of them are only able to play "G" ratings. Try this: click <play> 1234 <play> It will likely unlock the dvd that is in and will begin to play. You will have to do the 'code' each time, or there's an unlock program you can purchase.

SOURCE: wont recognized disc
I got it work work with mine. Here's how: I removed the top cover and put in a disk to see what happens. I realized it had to be a motor problem because the dvd player was having trouble spinning the disk. I removed the part that had the motor and sprayed some air into it to clean it. It works perfectly now!!
