There should be oval-headed screws in the machine. You need a special tool to turn them. I got one from the jura capresso doctor on ebay.

Hi there,
Save hours of searching online or wasting money on unnecessary repairs by talking to a 6YA Expert who can help you resolve this issue over the phone in a minute or two.

SOURCE: Where can I find an Jura Capresso Impressa F9 replacement lid

The only sources I have been able to find are in Europe. They do not always wish to ship to the US however. In the US the dealers always want the repair, but seldome wish to sell parts outright. Try this website for parts.

SOURCE: Jura z5 after filling system said coffee ready

Someone online sells a special screwdriver head used to open the Z5. With it, it's possible to take the machine apart, clean up the coffee ground dust that gums up the moving parts. You can giggle sensor switches that get stuck. The water lines will need decalcifying eventually, even if you use the the Clearyl water filter cartridges. If you're not up to taking machines apart, sell me your broken Z5: steve@halls.md

The Jura just says Heating UP for a very long time and will not move off of it, how do we get it to make coffee instead of heating up for an hour?

Probably an internal Element has gone open circuit.
Mine did the same thing.
Then it wouldn't heat at all.
I pulled it apart (with photos)
Found the heater element. Found a replacement element after 6 weeks and replaced it in 2 hours.

Back to getting great coffee.. Ahhh

Jura Impressa E fails to dispense, then gives "open tap" message

I had the same problem, when I called their very helpful customer service, I was given these directions.
Take out the tray.
Inside the machine you can now see a flap hanging from the top.
Reach behind the flap, and you should feel a round object/filter. It has a little dimple sticking out in the middle.
Wipe the filter with a paper towel.
Put the machine back together, and voila you got your coffee brewing again.

Open the drawer and take out the box for the grounds. Run a rinse cycle and it should now go back into place.
