Try again and if the fault continues take them back to the shop and tell them your problem.
You may have to take you resit or proof of purchase to receive a refund or exchange.
In this case if that fails contact Logitech customer support and explain the problem.
Who know if you luckily you could get a brand new speakers for free if the product is indeed faulty...

Yes, this is normal, but it should be just for the speakers, not for the receiver.

I don't know to connect Logitech speaker to my computer.

Plug the green stereo cable to your PC (Green port on PC too)
Connect the black connector (Round shape) to the back of the sub-woofer (big box)
Play music on your PC, should work like a charm...

Hopefully you have already tested the PC to work fine and produce sound. Else you will need to t/s the PC to fix it...

if the PC is probably broken / port is broken - you can connect your iPOD or other music player's green port too - will work just fine!

I purchased a new desktop PC with Windows 7, & I'm trying to find out what the correct connection is for the Logitech X-530 Speakers is. That is, can I get all the 5 speakers to work at the same time?

It depends on the sound-card in the PC.

The "back-left" and "back-right" speakers require special connections to the sound-card.
The "left" and "right" and "centre" speakers are connected to the "main-stereo-audio-out" on the sound-card, as per normal.

There are leads that need to be connected to your computer for the Front, Rear, and Subwoofer speakers Not all motherboards have all of these connections Your Logitech manual shows how to connect the speakers correctly if you do not have all of the connections on your motherboard

The only way for you to be able to play music on your mp3 player with those speakers is if you Connect the mp3 player to your PC and play the music threw there.remember you cannot use your speakers for portability it has to be connect to a power outlet constantly in order to work
