Most counterfeit watches are designed to fool the casual observer, and as a result, the manufacturers focus on making the outside of the watch look as much like the original as possible. However, to save money, the inside of the watch (i.e., the movement) is usually quite different from what's in the original watch.
One relatively reliable way to check whether your watch is genuine is to remove the back and see what's inside. Is the inside of the case back stamped "Citizen"? Is there a Citizen brand on the movement (note: not all Citizen movements may be branded with a Citizen logo). For greatest reliability, I would take your watch to a jeweler who sells Citizen watches and pay them a few dollars to pop open the back and examine the movement. They will be able to recognize whether you have a genuine Citizen movement in the watch, and the peace of mind you receive may be well worth the $5 or so I expect they'd charge you for this service.
In addition to the movement, counterfeit watches with steel bracelets often have cheaper quality links than the watch they are copying. However, this is not always the case; as it's become cheaper to manufacture good quality watch bracelets, some counterfeits have watch bands that are just about as good as the real thing, and it takes an expert to find the differences.
You purchase a counterfeit copy? Go to the vendor and ask for your $ back. Get his or her name and business particulars, his or her license plate number and turn them in to Microsoft. Call your State Attorney General and file a complaint. Contact your newspaper and tell them your experience. Contact your BBB and file a complaint.
You made a counterfeit copy ... run for the hills, Microsoft will find you.
You can remove the bad software and purchase a genuine copy. I believe Microsoft has a program that will make you whole, though with a little less $ in your pocket. Go to the site and search 'counterfeit'.
Can you be more specific with your situation and remain unidentifyable?
This is a Bulgari watch (Printed BvGari) model number AL 38 A. An authentic Bulgari watch of this style would sell for around $2000. This particular model was counterfeited a lot so its best to have a watch maker familiar with the model or brand look at the case, band, and movement. Be sure to have the movement inspected so you know it was not swapped for a cheap replacement.
