You have the old game port connector. I have one of those too and researched it and even bought one of the adapters. What I found is that the adapters will generally work EXCEPT if your unit has force feedback. The force feedback versions of the MS sticks uses a special protocol that the adapters can't handle. I haven't looked recently, but if you look for an adapter make sure it says it will support force feedback (most will say they don't). In my case I just bought a new joystick.
hi i think what you will need is a games adapter for the pcmcia slot on the laptop, if you are in the usa here is a site that will be of interest to you on where you can buy one from..at least you know what to look for now...hope this helps, just click on link.
Buy a USB to gameport adapter from Radioshack ($1.85!!!! cos it's sooo old) set the switch on the adapter to joystick B (with "hat" switch) and then you can hook it up.....drivers are another issue...I'm still searching..:-)
