Hello you can add a new or 2 modules.

The mainboard supports:

2.5V (only) 184-pin DDR SDRAM DIMM
Unbuffered, single-sided, or double-sided DIMMs
Maximum total system memory: 2 GB; minimum total system memory: 64 MB
DDR333/266/200 MHz SDRAM DIMMs only.

You can order the ram modules online or in a computer shop.
I suggest you add 2, 1gb modules and scrab the old module.

Here is the homepage:

Good luck

My computer slow down when i upload any music program like imesh n ima using windows xp

If you have less than 512 MB of Ram that is your problem. Add more ram to increase the speed of the computer. You can get ram here. Just click "Scan My System" and they will tell you what you have and what you can install with the price. Best money you will spend on a slow computer. Also runs disk cleanup and remove all it finds.

I have A7N266-VM mother bord and i am using 512+256 ram but my pc is very slow and usb copying too slow plz help me

Hi, ideally today you require a minimum of 1G of memory. Also perform a virus scan and malware scan, as your computer could be infected causing it to run slow.
Hope this helps

SLOW need upgrades

If upgrading RAM is what you're thinking of - I'd suggest you don't. Only go to hardware consultants if absolutely necessary. Nowadays, if let's say you have 512 MB of RAM, it's still sufficient. If you need more because of high demand graphics software, then I would suggest you buy a machine with a greater RAM (pre-existing). There are other reasons a computer is slow. You could have malwares and spywares (run an antivirus scan). If it's clean and your machine is below 512 MB RAM, then I'd suggest to buy new machine.

I am about to smash my laptop and I can't afford a new one now. It is a Dell inspiron 6000. It has slowed down, way down. Advice from this site led me to disable all sorts of stuff in my startup...

Since you already did those things to speed up your computer like disabling some start up program and that help in the computers performance but some application are still slow. The next thing that you can do is to remove some unneeded programs that are installed on the computer to free up some resources like Memory and hard drive. Do also a Dis De-fragmentation on your hard drive to clean and compact you drive. If you really like to speed the computer the best way to do that is to add up some RAM on this computer since the computer can support up to 2 GIG of RAM, this computer only came with 512 MB of RAM so adding RAM on the computer will definitely make it work faster. This is the type and specs of your RAM that you need DDR2 SDRAM - 400.0 MHz , PC2-3200 just go to a computer store and ask for that type of RAM.

I have 256 MB RAM which is slow, can i upgrade it to 512 MB RAM

Depends completely on what motherboard the computer has and what it supports, I could check on it if you have and brand and model of the computer, or from the motherboard.

Sure the prosessor speed doesn't affect the memory amount possible don't worry about that, just need to find out how much is supported and at what speed etc.
