SOURCE: Have a Viking range, gas top, electric oven, neither work.

Check connector block where electric is brought into stove for loose or burnt wires. Check Breaker in house power box. Push the breaker firmly to off and then return to On position. Read owner's manual to see if ignitor circuit has a fuse and check said fuse.

Why does the oven time flash but the oven won't turn on?

power to the unit by removing one or more fuses or tripping one or more breakers at the main entrance panel or at a separate panel. If the range is fused at a separate panel, this panel may be located adjacent to the main panel or in a basement, crawl space, or other location. If there is a grounding wire to the range, disconnect it. Make sure the power to the unit is off.
Servicing FusesIf the range or oven is receiving power but doesn't work, the unit may have its own fuse or circuit breaker assembly. This assembly is usually located under the cooktop of the range. In some units, lift the top of the range to gain access to the fuse assembly; or lift the elements, remove the drip pans, and look on the sides of the cabinets. Inside the oven, look to the back to spot the fuse assembly.
If the unit has this additional fuse or breaker system, components such as the oven light, the range heating elements, the timer, and a self-cleaning feature may be separately fused.
If these components or features fail to work, don't overlook the possibility that the fuses have blown. To replace a blown fuse, unscrew the old fuse and install a new one of the same type and electrical rating. If the unit has circuit breakers, push the breaker or reset button, which is usually located on the control panel.

Is there an internal fuse in the kitchen ranges? If so where is it?

Any kitchen ranges I have changed the fuses in the fuses are in the top behind the dials and clock area at the top. This is for electric stoves. My electric range I had five thirty amp fuses One for each top burner and one for the oven. Not sure if this helps you or not.as mine was an older range.

OVEN CONTROLS AND OVEN DONT WORK. RANGE TOP WORKS FINE.

Hello,

We're having the same problem. Oven light works, but plug by oven light switch does not. I changed the screw in fuse (15 Amp) in the oven, although it was blown, it didn't fix the problem.
I will be checking the double breaker on the electric panel tonight, making sure it's getting the full 220v, and if that is good, I will be looking at checking and replacing the clock.
Hope this helps.

Whirlpool RF302BXYW Ser# FD1227461 oven quit working (surface burners are okay)

Several possibilities:
1: Fuses blew under the top cover. Oven fuses will not affect top burners.
2: Element has burned out. Top element only heats when you try to warm the oven.
3: controller has burned out. A controller can cost $150 - $600 for digital. You might want a tech to confirm before you change this one.

Oven fuse blows - Nothing works

try lifting the stove top assy and checking wires under main top, leading to the elements them selves??? if tis tripping and not allowing to reset its gotta be an obvious short. isit hard wired directly to stove or into a 220 cord and plug???id look again, perhaps remove entire back panel and have someone trip on the breaker you might see where it flashes as it trips off
