Question about Lexmark Wheelwriter 1500 Typewriter
My typewriter just started typing the top half of all letters and numbers. I cannot figure out the problem. It just started doing this a few minutes ago. Can you help???
On the WheelWriter series, sometimes the platen may pop out of position, causing only half the letters to print. If this is the case, easially solved... Using the left and right platen knobs, firmly push down to lock it back in place. Hope this helps....MediaMan

The platen is the black rubber roller.

Everything seems to be locking in but the IBM Personnel Wheelwriter 2 only typpes the top half of the letters. I put in new ribbon and checked everything else. Can this machine lock itself into doing this?
