WHat Is File System Err??

My mp3 player says file system err...
everytime i put a {BRAND NEW} battery in it...
Help Me!!

    I have the same problem, some pics here.
    Format won't do any good, I can easily format, upload songs to it, erase - anything as long as I use it as an flash memory connected to a computer.
    But controls on it won't work, this message is there all the time.

    i am having the same problem... mine takes one AAA Battery and this last time i changed it i pushed power and it says "File System Err" please help b/f i run it over with my car lol :)

Try downloading the cd driver or setup driver it came with.
then look through it for a program with a rocket ship icon.
open it.
click firmware upgrade, plug your mp3 player into the computer, select the newest firmware upgrade(it only shows new or current ones), open it, then click start upgrade and it should be fixed.

This means that the file was corrupted or it was a bad data file. Make sure it was a mp format and the best try is to copy a new file on it.

use your computer to remove the files, and put 'em back on with windows media player.with another program open, you should have windows media player open and use it to put 'em on.Limewire and internet syncing sites usually stink.

Philips MP3 players dies when new battery is in it.
it does it because the battery is dodgy and is going to be on the news tommorow in the meantime i woulsd look on the sony website support and ask for a new one if that fails buy one in town
