Polaroid tablet 8-in wont accept any sd cards?

My friend gave me her polaroid tablet for a early Christmas gift today and for some reason it wont read ANY of my sd cards. It wont can them and even when the sd card is in the tablet is says no sd card. I tried resetting the entire tablet and even adding a song onto my sd card from my computer and put it back into my tablet and it STILL wouldn't read it. I can't download anything or take pictures without the sd card. I don't know what's wrong with it and hopefully there's some kind of solution to it! It's the Polaroid 8in internet tablet from Kohls. If that helps. I just can't figure out what is up with it.

Look for a format command within settings on the tablet. Also, there are different types of SD Card.

Well, make sure you have checked the small gray tab on the left side of the sd card. It needs to be in the unlocked position. Too bad for me, because i have the same problem and my sd card isn't locked...

SOURCE: Camera turns on for a few seconds, then off.

A light rap with a knuckle when powering up fixed the problem, at least temporarily. Lens extended, camera works fine. Not exactly a technical fix, but it worked for me.

SOURCE: sd memory card is locked and wont unlock

Hey rpl2125,
It sounds like you covered your bases, but you could try putting a piece of tape over the write protection switch and see if this works. If the tape doesn't work then there is most likely a defect in the memory card and you are going to need to replace it, and I would contact the manufacturer to see if it is under any warranty, and if it is they will often just send you out a new one.

SOURCE: Memory card says it needs to be formatted but i have pics on it and I need them..please help I will be waiting!

I had the same problem with my 4Gb card that has 750 photos on it. I tried doing different things, however, it did not work. At last I took the card out and blew on its chips, gave it a good shake and put it back. Then, the miracle happened. It could read all my photos. I guess there was some dust that had accumulated on the chips at the back of the card. Hope it can help you, too.

My Polaroid Tablet will not download content. My internal sd card is full, could this be the problem? Also how can I access the internal sd card to erase content?

You should connect the phone to any system, which could regogonize the internal SD card. Most system will recogonize it. You can choose the SD card, and can delete the contents you wish to do.

My Polaroid tablet ptab 8000 will not read a micro sd card. How can I format the sd card?

Will it read other cards? If so then it may not accept high capacity cards, or need to be reformatted. If high capacity is the issue the the only thing you can do is get a smaller card.
If format is the issue then take a computer and a memory card reader (if the computer does not have one internally), insert the memory card into the reader and go to whats ever disk utility you have select the memory card and format it to the specification of your device. Done. It may be a task to format a memory card from windows so use some type utility or the command prompt if you are familiar with using it.If it wont read any memory card then the reader built into the device has malfunctioned or not properly functioning--Good Luck.

Myh polaroid pdc4350 wont accept a scan disk sdhc card 4g but will accept sd cards?

That is correct. While SDHC cards will fit into SD slots, they are electronically incompatible. SD cards will work in SDHC slots but not the other way around. You need to go with SD cards 2GB and smaller.
