Question about Cameras
My friend gave me her polaroid tablet for a early Christmas gift today and for some reason it wont read ANY of my sd cards. It wont can them and even when the sd card is in the tablet is says no sd card. I tried resetting the entire tablet and even adding a song onto my sd card from my computer and put it back into my tablet and it STILL wouldn't read it. I can't download anything or take pictures without the sd card. I don't know what's wrong with it and hopefully there's some kind of solution to it! It's the Polaroid 8in internet tablet from Kohls. If that helps. I just can't figure out what is up with it.

Well, make sure you have checked the small gray tab on the left side of the sd card. It needs to be in the unlocked position. Too bad for me, because i have the same problem and my sd card isn't locked...

A light rap with a knuckle when powering up fixed the problem, at least temporarily. Lens extended, camera works fine. Not exactly a technical fix, but it worked for me.

It sounds like you covered your bases, but you could try putting a piece of tape over the write protection switch and see if this works. If the tape doesn't work then there is most likely a defect in the memory card and you are going to need to replace it, and I would contact the manufacturer to see if it is under any warranty, and if it is they will often just send you out a new one.

I had the same problem with my 4Gb card that has 750 photos on it. I tried doing different things, however, it did not work. At last I took the card out and blew on its chips, gave it a good shake and put it back. Then, the miracle happened. It could read all my photos. I guess there was some dust that had accumulated on the chips at the back of the card. Hope it can help you, too.
