Question about Sony Ericsson K810i Blue Smartphone

3 Answers

I have a Sony Ericsson k810i phone since April 2008.Today I connected my cell phone with my pc via usb connection. My phone was turn on and I had choose the "operate as a cell phone" application on the screen menu that has appered! My k810i was charging from my pc via the usb connection. When I remove my k810i from the usb cable, suddenly the screen went white!I tried to turned off my phone by the power button , but it wasn't responding and the screen has continued to be white. Then I had taken off the battery and the screen then has turned off! I replaced the baterry and try to turn on the k810i phone but it didn't. Then I tried to charge the phone and to turn it on when it was charging, but nothing! When it was turned off and charging,it hasn't appeared any red light nor the charging message on the screen. I pushed the power button many times and more than 10seconds continuosly but nothing again! I downloaded the update service and try to update the k810i , followin the lines of orders but I believe that the update has failured! I followed the orders that apear on sony ericsson internet site for this dysfunction (eg remove and put back the battery) but it didn't happen anything. My cell phone is dead!No sign of flashing life! Any suggestions? Thanks a priori! PS I have an m2 with a copy of a major part of my contacts and photos, but some others I haven't save them yet, can you help me by suggesting me a tip how to save them now, or is too late?

Try this, close the update software.

Hold down c, plug in the usb cable, wait like 15 seconds and then release the c button.

What does it say under Ports in the Device manager?

    Did you try unplugging
the charger, removing the battery and putting it back in, then turning on the
    phone?

Did you hold down the C-button
and then plugged in the USB cable and then release the C-button when it said
    so?

    Did you install the USB
drivers so that you PC and the SEUS can detect your phone/flash memory?

First thing is never remove the cable without stopping the USB connection from system tray. Now, as your phone has gone kaput, you will have to re flash the firmware. Checkout some SE forums like esato.com,se-nse. Use a memory card reader to copy the contents of your m2 and don't keep it inserted in the phone while flashing.

If your phone is still under warranty, i suggest you take it to the service center.

Your firmware is corrupted. You are always advised not to remove the cable abruptly but get the mobile disconnected safely. You can repair it by downloading the firmware again from Sony's website or take it to a professional service centre.

My phone not starting.... only infrared led is blinking.... Sony Ericsson K810i

When the infrared led is blinking, it usually means that your battery is not charged enough. Sometimes you need to charge your phone via the wall and not through USB from your computer, as it has higher voltage.
Otherwise it could be that your battery is dead, which then means you have to buy a new one - which can be found cheap on eBay. I hope you can fix it.
Good luck! And please, if you do find this comment helpful give it thumbs up :)

Hello There, Sony Ericsson K810I the battery life of my phone goes very quickly and my phone is a sony ericsson K810I and my phones battery life is very poor when i dont use the phone the battery still...

How old is the Phone? Phone batteries usually only last a year. Go through the phone and make sure things like the gps wifi bluetooth are turned off. also a constant data connection for auto updates of facebook or email or weather will decrease battery life.

Sony ericsson k810i no sound

Hi,

Have you tried to turn on the call volume? On the right side of the phone you will see two buttons, up and down.

Try making a call. Then, while on the call and before you hang-up, press the button on the right side of your phone, the one with the arrow pointing up. You will see a volume indicator on the screen. If you press the up button again and again the volume will go up until it reaches a satisfactory level.. Perhaps your volume is set to very low.

Hope this helps...

Dimitris.
