I also have an e250. You have probably figured it out by now, but if you have not, it is an easy fix. While the song you want deleted is playing, just press the menu button at the bottom of the ring. The menu will come up, then scroll down to the bottom and therewill be the option to "Delete This Song". Press Delete and you will be prompted to select YES or NO. Choose yes and song will be deleted. The next song on the list will be qued but will be in PAUSED mode. You can also hook up to your computer and delete songs from the song menu page. Hope this helped.
Connect it to your PC and open your player in a Windows Explorer window. Some versions of the firmware on the e250 are missing the delete option.
If your firmware HAS the option, while playing a song press the submenu/down arrow button at the bottom. Delete will be one of the options on your screen. This is described in the manual but they don't mention the option isn't there in some firmware versions.
Reformat the drive on your Sansa. Open My Computer then right click the drive that corresponds to your Sansa and choose format. It will be the one that says "removable drive". This usually works, just make sure you keep a backup of all your music in case this happens again.
If you originally used rhapsody (or began in Rhapsody mode) , you have to use rhapsody to remove the songs. If that doesn't work, you can manually open the music folder by enabling "hidden folders" under "tools" -> "folder options..." -> click the "view" tab -> scroll and check "show hidden files and folders". Then go to My Computer -> Sansa e250 -> "system" -> "music" -> then delete the songs. I don't know the effects of using this method, so use it at your own risk.
If you are using Windows Media Player you can use that. Depends on which version you are using.
How to Videos are here;
OR you can manually manage the music thru My Computer>Device Name (e250)>Music Folder.
Please add to the question if that didnt work.
