Question about Microsoft Windows XP Professional
This issue is ongoing for almost coupla years now and I have searched for a fix at many places.
I'll get straight to the problem, whenever I play any WMV and WMA files, only those files, I get high pitched noise that is intermittant throughout the song or the video. Other formats are playing fine.
I have Win xp pro sp2, 2gb ram, D945gcl mobo, 2 hard drives, SB Audigy Value (Onboard audio disabled).
I have tried updating codecs and drivers, reinstalling the OS after formatting the primary partition, disabled onboard audio and what not. No help, everyone I talk about this problem, asks me to try updating codecs and drivers, but problem persists. These files are playing fine on other computers (friends).
What more information do you guys would like? Do you guys think this can be solved?
Thanks and peace.
It's as simple as that, Your soundblaster is defective and requires replacement.
