MS Word 2007 failure with error 25004

I wish to request your kind help as I have unexpectedly lost access to Microsoft Word 2007. The program was in full use until today on my emachine e732, with Windows 7 Operating System. When I clicked to open a saved Word document, a Windows Installer box opened with the message " Preparing to install". This installation was unexpected as I had Word 2007 pre-installed and in full use. Then the fatal error appeared: Error 25004 ConfigXml not specified. A valid config.xml file must be authored when deploying'[null]'. This unusual failure is preventing the system from accessing any Word documents. Is there any help to get around this problem by uninstalling and then re-installing MS Office 2007 suite so that my Word documents can be accessed again, please. I would be most grateful for your kind help and advice, if possible. The mahine that I'm using is an emachine. All the system software and the MS Office suite were preloaded before I took delivery of the laptop. There are not any installation CDs for re-installation of applications in the event of the current type of problem. Kindly advise further if there are any procedures for the reinstallation remedies, please. I would be most grateful for your kind help. Kind regards Elvira

SOURCE: Problem installing office 2007.

Hi,

You need to uninstall any pre-release version of the Microsoft Office 2007 system .

it seems that if you have a version of the 2007 Microsoft Office Add-in or Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS installed, this may be the culprit. In both cases, by performing an uninstall on this add-in via the Control Panel, and then installing Expression Web, everything works okay. You can even re-install the Office 2007 add-in when you're done.

Goodluck,

SOURCE: error 25004.config.xml not specified; A valid config.xml file must be authored when deploying '(null)'. i am installing microsoft office enterprise 2007 and i enounter this problem..how will i

If the version of windows installed on your computer is not activated you would face issues to use any applications once the product is expired.

But if you have an issue with office programs with an error 25004 on an activated version of windows
Then the reason might be corrupted installation of office 2007 on the computer.
Uninstall office 2007 manually from the computer then
re-install it and check if it helps.

Microsoft Office Home 2007 error during setup. Error 25004. Do you have a Guarented repair?

No, and microsoft does not. When reporting problems with software,
you need to tell what operating system you are running, because it can depend on which one you have why you are getting the code.

Do you have a registry cleaner, clean your registry.

Does the error 25004 say config.hml ??????

Is your operating system hacked, ???? free one.

Is windows update set to auto, check for updates.

If you post , which operating system, which version- vista-ultimate,
like this, the exact error and what it says, it will be easier to help.

When trying to install MS Office 2007 the installation interupts and it gives an error numbered 25004 , per -user install not supported . how can i fix this problem?

this is exactly as it sounds...you need admin rights and choose all users when it shows you to choose whom to have access to this program ...this being a Microsoft program ..do not supports limited access ...and need an administrator account to be installed and the access to all users...no mater of type..

Unable to install ms office 2007, upgrading from Office 2003

Hi,
please first uninstall all the existing versions of MS Office. Then try to clean temporary files, cache and registry using tools like cCleaner (freely availavle), then install MS Office.

if you want to install only MS Office 2007, no need to install MS office 2003 and upgrade. directly install MS Office 2007.

If you want to keep both, pleas install MS office 2003 first, then MS office 2007, please dont uograde it, rather select Keep both version.

Please make sure that you have admin permission before doing all this and your system is free from any virus.
Thanks
