I have a poulan wild thing and I also have a craftsman pull-lite model #358350810 I used them both the other day they worked fine now they wont start spark plug is good gas mix ect

If they both now will not start that is a bit worrying, remove the muffler and check the condition of the piston through the exhaust port, any sign of scuffing or piston damage and tey will need to come apart for further investigation.

HOW TO ADJUST CARB. ON CRAFTSMAN 21 cc BUSHWACKER HEDGE TRIMMER

Does the unit have jet screws marked H and L? Turn (both) CW to stops (lightly), then turn each CCW 1-1/2 turns. This is a basic setting that should allow the engine to start and run. Make sure the fuel filter, air cleaner, and muffler are not plugged. Start the engine and allow to warm up, pull the throttle full on and adjust H needle CW until the engine starts to speed up, but continues to 4-stroke. Proper adjustment is when the engine 4-strokes unloaded, but immediately 2-strokes when trimming. Allow to idle and adjust the L needle CW for better idle, but allows the engine to 'follow the throttle'. Adjust the idle speed screw so that the engine continues to run, but doesn't run the cutter bar. Hope this helps!

Saw will lnot start----needs gas intake adjustment

Turn both jet screws CW to stops (lightly), then back out each CCW 1-1/2 turns. This is a basic setting that will allow the engine to start and run. Let the engine warm up, then pull the throttle full on--turn H screw CW until the engine speeds up somewhat. Proper adjustment is when the engine is 4-stroking unloaded, but immediately 2-strokes when cutting. Release the throttle and adjust L CW until the engine idles fairly well, but allows the engine to 'follow the throttle'. Adjust idle speed screw so that the chain stops turning, but the engine continues to run. Hope this helps!

Cultvator is not starting as we pull start

I take it this is the first cranking this season. The most probable cause is stale fuel. Never ever store fuel in a small engine over the winter. Now, the bad fuel has most probably fouled the sparkplug, so you need both fresh fuel AND a NEW sparkplug.

Your carb is going to be gummed up, but if you'll get the high priced fuel with the "cleaners" (like Chevron with Techron) it may save you the trouble of disassembling the carb.
