Congratulations, there is always a particular joy when doing something with your own hands. It may not be artistic, it may not be perfect, but it is worth all the time in the world.

TV Won't Turn On - Timer light flashing continuously

Well for the first guy, it would seem something came loose while moving it. Trace your power circuit to find the ecaxt problem, as well as inspect your fuse.. I'm sure its something simple and since it wont come on it has to be that it aint getting power..

For the second guy,, the reson why he baked off and said call the manufacture is caue you proberally need a MAIN BOARD... I would suggest you take it to a secon technician first and herr what he has to say before calling the company for they to tell you,,... you have to buy a mainboard and it will cost you some money ...

What happened when TV is blurry with double vision and picture is not linear

Good day!

First of all, before you proceed to the minor/major troubleshooting try to check first the cable signal and connection of it,if you are cable subscriber or play any movie to your TV to make sure that the problem is on your TV or on the signal.

If you already play the movie and the problem is still there.

follow this procedure of troubleshooting to fix that problem:

  1. Remove the back cover by loosening all screws.
  2. After you open the cover, look for the convergence I.C-it is the one that have heat sink and stand on vertical position. The part # of that I.C is usually starts with the letter STK####.
  3. That convergence I.C controls the images and graphics.Replace it and check the resistors and other components near that I.C.Use a soldering iron and soldering ****** to replace the parts or components and multimeter tester (range on resistance).
  4. If you already replace the convergence I.C and check some component near that.Plug-in and power ON again to test if it is successful.
NOTE: Always double check the solder parts when you replace any parts or components to avoid short circuit or major damage.

I hope this solution will be helpful to fix your problem.Thank you and good luck.

My 62 inch mitsubishi tv was hit by lighting

Try to find a local repair centre & ask if they can give you an estimate on the cost to repair. A lightning strike can cause either minor damage such as just an internal fuse blown or can cause severe damage which will wipe out entire circuit boards which can be a costly repair. In this case it's usually not worth repairing.

Rear Projection and PlayStation 2

Hi, If your PS2 has an RF module, it is possible that the PlayStation 2's RF unit is interfering with your reception. Even if you are using the Audio/Video OUTput of the PS2, the RF module is also working and throwing out an output to either Chs 3 or 4. By switching off the PS2, the RF module would likewise be off. If by switching off the PS2 does not solve the problem, it is also possible that the Video input board of your TV has been slightly damaged. I doubt if it is a major repair and offhand would probably involved minor components or simply re-soldering. Hope this be of some help/idea. Post back how things turn up or should you need further information.
