I have an HP 9800 Deskjet that I print heavier self stick vinyl paper. The print comes out wavy. Lines aren't strait and images get blurred. Seems like the rollers might be worn causing it not to pull paper in right and centered.
This sounds like a problem with the paper pick up rollers. I would suggest cleaning the rollers with a little isopropyl alcohol. Please make sure the machine is turned off when doing the cleaning. Let the rollers dry for a few minutes. If this does not work, The rollers would probably have to be replaced.
Try putting Isopropyl alcohol on the feed rollers. These rollers become hard and smooth with time and cause all sorts of paper feed problems. You can find isopropyl alcohol at any drug store(it is rubbing alcohol).
seems like the pick up roller and seperation pad are dirty or worn.try cleaning them with nail polish remover. the roller is located at the bottom of the printer where the leading edge of the paper is the seperation pad sits under the pick up roller.
