Hello,
The device may not be detected by Win7, that can only be detected w/ other OS version, cause i have the same problem w/ win 7 ultimate 32bit, the Magic Jack is not working but it will work w/ win Vista and XP. try getting the SP1 for win 7 and install driver for that device and see if it will work, or you can also try installing vista on one of the partition and see if that will work.
Thank you for Using Fixya

E260 Vista SP1 Drivers

You should be able to access it as a flash drive straightaway; yes, the Sansa.com site has drivers on it.... But keep searching the web on
  1. Vista SP1 Sansa Drive Mount
...and try changing the Sansa between USB modes.

Insignia player + Napster + Vista SP1 = headache!

Yay for Vista :(

Here are a couple of options:

1) Try uninstalling the device driver and then reconect the player to re-install the driver.

2) Try re-installing Napster, or look for an update to Napster since this may be a common bug that Napster is aware of and has fixed.

Computer says"device driver software not installed"

Check Sandisk website to see if they have Vista compatible software. i know that newer usually means better, but in the case of Microsoft Vista, you will be astounded at how many devices are not compatible with the OS. Hopefully SP1 will fix many of these issues.

INCOMPATIBILITY WITH WINDOWS VISTA?

This player works only with Windows XP/SP1 or below. Here is an exact quote from the company:
If you have WindowsXP SP2, we recommend that you go back to Windows XP SP1 before Microsoft solves the problem.

Philips HDD6330/17 suddenly not recognized by Vista

Check which version of Windows Media Player you have loaded.
Open Windows Media Player. Click "Help" and "about". This should show which version you have.
Windows Automatic Updates may hve updated to version 11.

The Philips HDD6330 is only compatible with version 10 under Windows XP.

If you have version 11, then uninstall and it should roll back to version 10.

? Verify that the USB cable is securely inserted into the USB port on both the Rio Carbon and your computer. ? Connect the USB cable to a USB port on the back of your computer rather than to a USB port on the front of your computer. ? If using a USB hub, connect to a powered USB hub. Unpowered USB hubs may not work. ? Remove USB extension cables from the connection path. ? Disconnect other USB devices. ? Both Windows XP Service Pack 1 (SP1) (or greater) and Windows Media Player 10 (WMP10) must be installed for your computer to detect a Rio Carbon set in MTP mode. ? If you do not want to install SP1 (or greater) and WMP10 on your computer you should disconnect the Rio Carbon and change the Transfer Mode setting to MSC mode. Good Luck
