Printer does not print automatically. It prints manually
This network printer (Canon imagerunner 2010) is not printing, and it's not giving any error messages. when I click on print, everything goes as it always has, except, not paper comes out. then I go to the machine and press on print button (it's print/copy/fax machine) and then I press OK, and it prints the document.

Windows Server 2003/Thin N Computing thin client L300 Printer Epson FX2175 installed with thin client when dos base print command is given 1st page is printed but when 2nd print command is given printer gets offline either switch off printer before giving comman or print from printer properties. Again third page print command is taken by printer (For alternate pages print command printer gets offline automatically)
when you are printing something get to the print area and before pressing the print button click on printer properties and then select the paper size from the list available
save then press the print button
it is only good for the job you are printing as the next job , it will revert to the default setting
the machine has the print server board and interface board installed? Canon machines need additional hardware installed to function as printers the parallel port is not a print port contact connecticutcopierrepair.com for more info
First, plug the printer into the network with an Ethernet cable. Then, go into the configuration page on the printer's display and print a configuration page. Look for the IP address. When you have that, go to the computers that need to connect to the printer. (Note that this tutorial is for Windows XP, I am not familiar with Vista but this should give you a basic overview.) Go to Start > Printers and Faxes. Click add a printer on the left hand side of the window. Select a Local printer attached to this computer, and unselect automatically detect. On the next page, click create a new port > TCP/IP port. Type in the IP address of the printer. Then choose the driver you are going to use, you should be able to find the IR 2200 driver under canon pretty easily. If not, go to canon.com and download their drivers. Once you do this, print a test page and it should print. You are then fully configured.
Try to printing a configuration page from the print board if this works check all your network cables then try to PING the copier by...
Go to START on computer
then type "cmd"
then type ping
press the space bar once
then the ip address in full and press return
if your network is ok you should get a signal return
and NOT a timed out message
If your network is ok
Try deleting the printer and re-loading the print driver making sure the IP address is the same as the one on the configuration page.

I had a similar problem with my MF6540. I could access the remote UI and see that the printer was recieving information via the print log. It would list all of my test pages that I tried to print but in the print results column I would get an error code NG(##5536) and the printer would not actually print anything. I tried the UFRII driver stated above and everything seems to be working now.
