its important to find out whether the \'lines\' are in scan direction/ or only through Radf or only from scan glass,
if the lines are only showing when documents are fed throught the Radf, then the problem lies with the document scan plate( left of the main glass platen (about 2" in width)) or with the scan plate blade cleaner
if the lines ONLY appear when copying from the Glass then the issue lies within the optics (probably nothing more than a clean will be needed)
another question would be to ask if the lines are solid (black line overprinting image) or if they are \'missing\' lines where the image has failed to copy, sometimes it can be hard to work out which side the fault lies,so try shaded greys as a copy original .
if the scan lines are appearing on both Radf and Glassplatten ,mode then the issue may be dirty optics/ccd sensor or it could e an indication of the ccd failing or image control pwb in error while interpreting the image file.
what to do
1) place a grey sheet of paper in the Radf and have the copier photocopy both sides of the original and print to single sided sheets ( so the printer turns the original over to complete the task)
observe the result.
2) have the copier photocopy directly from the platten glass- single sided.
observe the result.
ckeck to see if the error has appeared on both sets of prints ,
if the error has only appeared in the first set of prints then the issue may be a tiny DOT on the slit glass (left of platten) - a dot on this glass will indeed appear as a Line as the original is scanned across the glass.
Hello, because you didn't state the model, I can pressume that you have and dadf/adf/rdf and you need to clean the dadf copy glass. Usually narrow glass left or right from the main copy glass. Eaven smallest dirt can cause the stikes.CLEAN IT GOOD!!! Use water or glass surface detergent and dry it.
just clean the optics mirror to clean those mirror remove the 2 screw in right portion of the machine the 2 screw is the lock of the metal plate in the right end portion of the platten glass the after you remove the screw remove the metal plate & platten glass then move the scanner assembly in the middle portion then you will see a mirrors wipe it with clean rugs then after you clean those mirror remove the 3 screw in the black cover inside the right portion of scanner after you nremove the 3 screw & the black cover you will see 2 mirror wipe it with clean rugs the after you clean the mirrors return all the cover you remove &the platten glass & metal plate then try to make a copy
good morning; open the upper cover of RDF, clean properly the paper take up roller with aceton or alcohol, becarefull you must unplug the copier from the power source. wait a half hour and plug the copier to the power source.
Is this an analog or digital copier?
Multiple things could cause what you describe.
To answer your question rubber rollers can be cleaned with soap and water and a damp cloth.
Hot rollers cannot be cleaned and should be replaced as the teflon coating has failed.
Organic drums should not be cleaned with a cleaner but just a clean dry cloth.
I would look at your mirrors(under the glass) if there is dust on them it will darken your copies and could cause lines.
If it is digital print out a counter if it is a good print the your problem is dirty mirrors and / glass
outfeed? u mean the fixing assembly?? where the paper gets warmed?? u need to unmount the panel, open the cartridge cover and unscrew. the slide panel and carefully unplugged the flat cable. then you need to remove the platten glass. remove left small cover and then remove platten glass. remove the black cover besides the scanner. now remove the left covers, all of them, and unplug the fixing assembly. they are at least two connectors that go right to the power supply board. now you need to unscrew the fixing assembly, see the top of the recently uncover top, you must see two holes, thru them you should see screws, two on one side and one on the other, unscrew them, and then you will finallly release the fixing assembly. now that you got it out remove the plastic cover if it's there and then remove the two screws that has one on each side, now rmeove the metallic cover, you may need to unlock a little metal locks on the sides, push or pull depending situation and then finally free the unit from its cover. at this point you must be really able to remove all the jammed paper. clean up with pressurized air if possible. now that is paper free you need to mount everything back as original. good luck!!
Ramana is the black stripe just showing up on copies or faxes or does the stripe occur when you are printing from your computer. If the stripe only occurs when copying or faxing then more than likely the scanner glass is dirty. White out liquid on the scanner glass is a common. If it happens when printing fromyour pc, the problem will be in the toner cartridge or the fusing assembly.
Change the cartridge first to see if it goes away. Check the scanner glass, especially the small glass strip on the left side of the scanner or the right side where you place the original paper. These areas should be completely clear and clean of any scratches or smudges.
Last is the fusing assembly. If you tried everything else and theline continues to bother you, the fusing assembly sleve is probably torn. This would have to be replaced. The part number is RM1-0865-040CN.
If the lines look like little steps, maybe broken is segments off by about the thickness of a pencil line, try this. Most likely it's the scanner. You can try calabrating it by doing the following. press in order. Menu #1934. You will see a T pop up to the right side of "Ready to Copy". Then press machine status, then scroll until you find maintenance. May be under system settings. When you find maintenance, press enter, then scroll to Shading Adjustment. Or depending on software version, Adjust shading. Place 5 sheets of paper on the glass,, press enter, then when is says "Adjust Shading?" press enter again. Let it print out the sheet. Then try a copy. If that doesn't help, the scanner itself will probably need replacing.
The scanner is the issue. The segments of what is called the CCD are not working properly.
Once you adjust shading, if that doesn't work, the scanner will need to be replaced.
