Question about GE JE2160 Microwave Oven
Power kept going off/on. Had to keep resetting the clock.
This is probably a problem on the control panel, which we regularly repair such control units for
customers nationwide by mail for $39.95 postpaid in about a
week with a one-year guarantee.
But I'd like to first see the the "mini-manual" (tech sheet) which should be hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or hidden on the left side behind the grille.
You can scan (at 300 dpi) at least the "schematic diagram" page and e-mail it to me at firstname.lastname@example.org or you can fax it (in "detail" or super fine" mode) toll-free to 866-481-2802.
That way I first can see if anything else you can check might be the problem instead.
Feel free to contact me directly (and please remind me of your full model number) for more information & help.

mains supply, remove the case, it may be a Torx15 or Allen style screw head, and see where the mains lead goes in to
the appliance and follow the cable until you find the main fuse.
ONLY USE THE SAME TYPE AND RATING OF FUSE TO REPLACE IT.
Information on where to aquire a special fuse can be got from the manufacturers web site and browse for dealers. The usual
cause of this fuse failure is the door switches are contaminated or
sticking. Check the door switches before putting power back on to the
Hope this helps.
