I was able to find the website and I wanted to register my tv but guess what? the model ELDFT406 doesn't even exist in their options. I bought the TV brand new from Target and the sound goes in and out at ramdon chanels, I have to turn off my TV and turn on every time if I want sound...totally sucks. For a moment I thought it was my satellite but it isn't. Don't know what to do.
I have this same one and it shuts itself off at random, one time after only being on for 40 minutes. It started within 2 days of it being set up and it was maybe used for 6 hours total when it first shut off. The remote hardly works too. Other people have the same problems with this TV, read the reviews of it on Target\'s site. I got mine at Target so I have 90 days to return it and I\'m waiting until around the beginning of Feb. when HDTVs go on sale again. I suggest you just return it,. You can\'t even find it on the manufacturer\'s website.

What exactly do you mean by goes silent? Does the screen turn off but you can still hear the audio? Please provide this info so that I can help you with your problem.
