Question about Refrigerators

Open Question

Wine fridge stays at a temperature of 26 degrees C.

I set the temperature and immediately it jumps up to 26 degrees C
It is an INDEL B wine fridge. It has a compressor

Compressor keeps running and keeps cooler too cold regardless of temp setting.

Normally the fridge goes back to the ambient temp, the reason i asked if it has a compressor was to make sure it was thermoelectric. Does the fridge actually get cold at all? Does the compressor start, there are alot of problems with the compressor clixon with these little fridges because the compressor runs so hot. I am pretty sure that when you change the temp that you are setting the desired temp and then it goes back to what the temp is in the wine fridge. If you could send me the full model and serial number of the back of the fridge I would check that for you though.

Are you sure you want frozen champagne? Or do you mean 7 degree C (not minus 7).

SOURCE: Haier Wine Fridge problem

Hello bano24
Welcome to Fixya
My name is Huum,

You have a faulty cold control (temperature control)
The cold control is a temperature actuated switch and should open when the set temperature has been achieved. If the control does not open and turn the compressor off, it will continue to run and all items in the fresh food section will begin to freeze.
Check the control for continuity.
And or need a hands on service tech to diagnose this fault

SOURCE: Avanti WC492D wine cooler temperature control does not work

the wine cooler has to be at least 3" away from the wall, do not block the air flow to the condenser. or check power plug to outlet is it secure.

I have the same issue especially when there is a power outage. To reset it, press the preset until "1" appears, then adjust the temperature as low as it will go by repeatedly pressing the temperature "-" button. Usually works.

Well, I'm not sure what your actually trying to do, but the whole purpose of a wine cooler is to cool, not to freeze and the temperature should really get no colder than 34 degrees F.

Viking Wine Cellar Temperature Near-Freezing

Viking wine coolers are made by Marvel. They all had issues with freezing the contents. If you replace the electronic cold control system it will be fine.If you don't, it will freeze the wine popping the corks and leaking in the unit.If you get the parts from Marvell they are much cheaper.

COOLER TEMP CONTROL SEEMS NOT TO BE WORKING.  TEMP GOES DOWN TO 42 AND STAYS THERE.

thats because 42 degrees is the optimum temperature for wine to be at. unlike other beverages wine coolers only go to 42 degrees.

assuming fridge is at correct temp, i suspect fault is with your humidity detector. the humidity inside a fridge is a lot less than the outside air
