Hi. We've got an Agfa Duoscan T1200 flatbed scanner at the office and have been getting an "input/output error" when trying to use Agfa FotoLook 3.6 or Photoshop to scan. Our installation cd doesn't work anymore, and I tried downloading a new driver, but we get the same "input/output error" that prevents us from scanning. I've also tried unplugging everything and restarting, but it doesn't seem to be a physical connection issue. I'm hoping you might have some insight about what I can do to solve the problem.
I'm assuming this scanner interface is a SCSI connection. First thing you may want to look at is the SCSI ID number switch at the very back end of the scanner. Before changing the SCSI ID switch make sure your scanner is powered down. Repeat steps above when trying different SCSI ID numbers to see which one works with your computer. If you have other SCSI devices connected make sure they are not sharing the same SCSI ID # which will cause a conflict.
