thats why he messed around with it!!! he was trying to hack his psp and broke it internally.. its like brain surgery but he failed lol its called a brick..go to youtube they will probably have a solution
your son probably dropped his PSP at the time and the UMD drive broke or if your son says he didnt drop it you can get a cutip and softly clean your UMD reader the little bubble sorta in your PSP be carful while doing that
My son has a Nintendo DS that had the same problem. The battery was no good--wouldn't take a charge. We bought a new battery and that didn't fix it either, so don't waste your money. All we can figure is he must have dropped it or something happened while it was in his backpack (kids!). We tossed it and got a new one. I'll be upset if it's something simple!! Good luck to you.
