NO VOLTAGE ON HEATER@AFC

Hi,

If your TV don't have heater at AFC.Try to check first the B+ voltage on the ply-back transformer if you have 110vdc.Use a multimeter tester (range on DC) then place the black test prob (-) to the ground of the TV and the other one is on the B+ pin of the ply-back transformer that usually found on the 3rd pin.

  • If you don't have a B+ supply, try to look at the power supply section and check some open resistor and shorted transistor and also look for the fuse if busted.
  • If you have supply voltage on B+,you should know if the ply-back have oscillation.Normally it have a humming sound if the ply-back is oscillated and test the secondary of the ply-back using multimeter tester (range on AC).
  • If the fly-back have oscillation and the heater still no supply check the resistor that comes directly from the secondary of the fly-back it usually have 5 to 7 volts ac.and replace it with the same value and wattage.

I hope this solution will be helpful.Thank you and good luck.

Have Ge model 52GW945 tv, it went blank no picture, nothing, I checked fuse its ok what next

Check the swithed mode power supply section. Some sets uses Ics for control the power regulation, while others uses transistors as oscillators and choppers. If the power to the oscillator section of the SMPS is absent, the supply system won't wake up. So many reasons are there. You just check the resistor, usually connected from main DC rectified supply, to energise the oscillator section of the SMPS. In most sets it may be two resistors in serial, usually 270k 1W*2. If any one of this get opened, the power supply will not start up. Check it first and preceed. If the set uses Ic as regulator controller, check the positive supply voltage at the respective pin of the Ic.

Panasonic AG-DS550 VCR shuts itself down about 2 seconds after switched on. No error code appears in that brief interval. Toggling the power switch immediately is ineffective, but after waiting a while,...

This is a typical symptom of a power supply failure. There are some self-checks performed at power-up that are not completing correctly. Were there any symptoms before the complete failure? Often, the units start to behave strangely before complete shutdown. The power supply failure is tied to defective capacitors in most cases. These supplies are what are called "switch-mode" supplies and must oscillate to work. Defective caps will either not provide the kikcker to start the oscillation or prevent the oscillation completely. While there are other causes, this is the most common. AG units are professional decks and should be serviced by authorized service centers.

Hope this helps,
Dan

Switching power supply still don't workafter changing the MOSFET

Switchers can be funky to troubleshoot. can you hear or detect if it is oscillatiing? Check primary w/ a dvm set on ac The primary side of the circuit (oscillator) is probably shot if you don't get any readings If you are check the 2ndary side. Could be anything. These types of power supplies are very efficient, very stable but a pain to trouble shoot. Atny component in the oscillator circuit can shut it down cold. Good luck. Gary

Panasonic dmr es30v

Without seeing the actual unit, I would guess that the power supply has failed. These unit have what are called "switch mode" supplies that rely on circuits that oscillate. If a capacitor goes bad, the unit won't oscillate properly, thus no power. These are difficult to track, but are not usually expensive to repair. I would suggest a trip to a service center for a detailed repair estimate. Report the results here.

It isn't getting a steady, usable source of power, you can try to diagnose this your self but it will be a power issue INSIDE the monitor within the circuit board

Plug in -won't power on at all

  • it is due to
  • fuse
  • loose connection in power supply or connector loose.
  • power supply regulator might be defective
  • power supply oscillator capacitor must have failed.

Tv power problem

It sounds like you have an integrated power supply issue. This type of supply truns on the horizontal oscillator which provides excitation to the Horizontal Output stage which in turn work with the HV section of the TV the extra LV levels are supplied by this interaction. That tsss noise might be the oscillator trying to work or the startup circuit trying to work. I would check the Horizontal and HV sections for failed components.
