On this model, it's not meant to be a user serviceable part.

You would have to remove the outer cover, and then the light bulb is located on the air duct attached to the magnetron on the right side of the innards.

You can find helpful exploded views and order the bulb assembly from the Pros here.

Enter your full model number from the tag with suffix and no spaces.

See these help files on safety and disassembly first.

The turn table and fan are connected in series with the bulb,as you have mentioned that you have replaced bulb,so please check again for any loose contact on bulb holder or bulb continuity again.

On these models, the oven must be pulled from the wall mount, then the outer cover must be removed. This is apparently to limit the manufacturer's liability. Removing the microwave from the wall is really a two-person job, since it is heavy and awkward. You don't want it to fall or slip, and the edges can be sharp. It helps a lot if you saved the original installation instructions. Once the oven is out of the wall, you can then access the lamp socket. These bulbs are special halogen types that must not be touched by bare hands, since skin oils will shorten their life. The manual is on the Emerson site at:
http://www.emersonradio.com/owners/MWO%20manual/MW8115SS.PDF

But it doesn't seem to mention a way for you to change the lamp.

Manufacturers used to include access panels in the rear or side so you could easily change the bulb. That exposed the customer to 110V connectors, and that posed a real liability threat, so they stopped using them.

You now must generally remove the outer cover to replace the bulb.

The first step is to unplug the oven before changing bulbs!

I have a diagram at my site which helps you find & replace many GE cooktop and cavity light bulbs. It's at http://207.234.249.73/mwd/ge_lamp_replacement.jpg

If there's no obvious removable cover over the bulb (and the owner's manual doesn't address it) some disassembly may be required.

Always unplug a microwave before removing or installing any bulbs.

The screws you need to remove should be pretty obvious, but a special driver (such as a T20H type or GTXH20-100) may be needed.

Be sure to put all the screws back in the right holes, since some may be special grounding screws.

Bulbs can be had in most grocery stores, hardware stores, home improvement centers, and big box or department stores.

Many models use halogen lamps. You must not touch the new one with your bare skin, as the oils will shorten the bulb life.

GE microwave JES 2251 SJ02 Light bulb that illuminates oven interior burnt out. Have correct replacement bulb (I think!). Can I remove oven cover and replace light bulb while keeping a good distance away...

sTEVE, THE CAPACITORS HOLD A CHARGE EVEN AFTER THE SYSTEM IS UNPLUGGED. A good rule of thumb would be to allow at least 48 hours for the capacitors to discharge before even getting nea them. Then, yes, you can replace the bulb. Thanks

I have a microwave JES 1142SMC which I need to repalce fuse but do not have manuel...Please help me as to how can I change the fuse. Please send me some instructions for fixing this.

There should be a "mini-manual" hidden inside the unit behind the control panel or attached to the inside of the outer cover.

It is very helpful when troubleshooting, & testing.

See this file and this file for more disassembly help.

How do I change the light bulb INSIDE the microwave?

What you need to do is remove the case of the microwave and you should be able see the globe inside the unit, make sure you discharge the high voltage capacitor before touching anything else. After that is done, simply remove the globe. Good Luck.

After changing a blown oven light, the clock works but nothing else turns on, including the fan, light, microwave

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

This can often also affect the exhaust fan operation, too. The lights and fan can be inoperable or stuck on too.

How do you change the bulb

First, take off the cover and you will see the bulb. You must have the unit unplugged and do not touch anything else inside the unit after you take off the cover. Theres a capacitor in there that holds a big charge.. Change the bulb as you may have to go to the hardware store as it may not be a regular bulb Most are not. Good Luck
