The key must be listed the configuration page in the Web Admin. 192.168.0.1 User admin Password motorola.
The manual is not as thorough as others so you need to do a little searching or create a new one. GL

The username is "admin," and the password will be "motorola." These are the [case sensative] default settings. If it doesn't work, you may have changed them yourself and not remember, or your internet installer may have done it for you when they set-up your internet connection [I know the guy who came to my apartment tried to do that to mine]. In either event, if you don't remember what your settings are, just reset your modem. This will restore ALL factory defaults on the modem.

To reset your modem, just look at the back. An inch or so above the Ethenet jack is a tiny pinhole. To reset your modem, you need to stick something in there [A mechanical pencil will work,or a paperclip], and hold it for a full 30-seconds. All lights will go out, and then slowly all come back on, but keep on holding - do not let go until a full 30 seconds are up. After 30sec, let go - the lights will all go out again, and then slowly return. The modem is now restored to its factory defaults, so open up a browser page, access the modem [192.168.0.1] and try the default login ID & password. Good luck.

Undo computer router security password

Assuming you mean for the Router itself
1) Make sure you have your LOG IN details for your internet account at your ISP. Make sure you have an Ethernet cable that you can run to your PC
2) Turn off the Router and look for the little 'factory reset' hole on the back (some have buttens rather than holes).
3) Push a paperclip into the hole (or hold down the button) & turn on the Router

This sets the Router back to 'factory standard. MOST Routers have the Factory password printed on a label (most of those without, you log in as 'admin' with password 'admin').

You have to use Ethernet cable because, after a Factory reset, the WiFi will be 'off'. You will have to re-enter the WiFI password (and anything else you changed form 'factory standard' such as the SSID)

How do I find my WEP key?

ITS THE SERIAL NUMBER ON YOUR ROUTER, NOT SURE THE MAKER OF YOUR ROUTER, HAVE YOU TRIED OPENING YOUR BROWSER AND IN THE ADDRESS BAR JUST TYPE 192.168.1.1 AND IT SHOULD BRING UP YOUR ROUTER MENU, YOU CAN ALWAYS CHANGE THE CODE OR DISABLE IT, THERE SHOULD ALSO BE ALL THE INFO ON YOUR ROUTER SOMEWHERE IN THE MENU, WHOEVER SET THE ROUTER UP INITIALLY SHOULD HAVE BEEN IN THE MENU TO SET OR CHANGE THINGS. IF YOUR SETTING UP THE CONNECTION ON YOUR COMPUTER JUST CHOOSE YOU ARE CONNECTING TO A DSL THAT IS ALWAYS CONNECTED, AND IT SHOULD JUST AUTO CONNECT WITHOUT THE WEP KEY, BUT AS I SAID YOU CAN GO INTO THE MENU BY TYPING 192.168.1.1 IT SHOULD GIVE YOU ANY INFO YOU NEED.

NETWORK SSID

Some later model wireless routers have the Password(ie.Encryption key) and the SSID already configured in the wireless router andthis information is printed on a label on the bottom of the router.
These settings can be used to configure the wireless card and wireless adaptersin your computer/laptop.
If these settings do not suit you, then it can be changed to suit yourrequirements.
The encryption key secures your data and wireless connection from unauthorizedaccess. To configure the wireless settings in the router, connect a LAN cablefrom your computer to the wireless router, then open a Browser on your computerand enter the router's configuration IP address, then enter the admin login andpassword and then go to the wireless settings and configure the SSID andEncryption key.
The router's encryption key can be a Passphrase or the WEP or WPA or WPA2key.If you use the Passphrase method select either WEP or WPA or WPA2 togenerate the encryption key. You can enter the WEP or WPA or WPA2 key with 8 to63 ASCII characters or 64 Hex digits.
Most people use Passphrase which is easier to remember eg. I was born inJanuary 1988.
The strongest and latest security is WPA2, the weakest and oldest is WEP. Toconnect to your wireless router from the computer/laptop, configure thewireless card in your computer/laptop with the router's wireless settings ieSSID, plus the WPA or WPA2 encryption key. Then computer/laptops cancommunicate with your wireless router.http://www.fixya.com/support/r10267861-network_security_key

I can not find SSID

My Friend,
You can follow these steps to find the wireless password.
>Connect your computer with a Ethernet cable to Slot number 1 on the router.(please don't connect to the internet port.) Just go to command prompt on your computer by typing CMD on RUN. >Type Ipconfig there and then you have to look for ipv4 address. >In this address search for the default gateway on the computer. >Type the address in the default gateway into the address bar on the browser. > Then this will ask you for the user name and password . Leave username blank and in password type admin. You will see the router set-up page . Go to the wireless tab and below that you will see wireless security tab. You can see the password under the security type such as Below security type as WEP OR WPA. Tere is a wireless key.
Hope this will help you.

My security key does not work on new laptop, have excellent signal.Need help.

Use an Ethernet cable to connect your laptop to one of the LAN ports on the router, and reconfigure the router to set the SSID, the encryption-level, and the password. Then, you can disconnect the cable, and use your wireless network adapter.

Try admin for the username and motorola for the password.  The default SSID is Motorola.  Here is the pdf with all of this info.
