Dead printer after replacing Cartridges in Kodak ESP3 AiO Printer

After replacing both cartridges in my ESP-3 printer the indicator light for the color cartridge continues to flash, telling me that it isn't recognizing the new cartridge. I have tried 20 'compatible' cartridges now with one that it would accept. Is Kodak 'fixing' their machines so we can only use Their cartridges when necessary? What can I do to get my printer to accept other manufacturer's cartridges?

You should never use a COMPATIBLE ink cartridge or a ink cartrdge from different manufacturer......if you do then you are damaging your printer yourself and no one can help you not even kodak tech support.........try using genuine ink cartridge if you look on side of the ink cartridge then you will see a code which will indicate if its genuine or not try and match those codes with the codes that i will mention if it does not match then its not genuine...........

Sounds like print heads are clogged and need replacing, try the troubleshooting guide on Kodak website, appears to be a common problem with these Kodak printers, if new it should be covered under warrenty although if not they are expensive

Kodak ESP3 not printing


Don't have a solution but can confirm this printer seems to be full of bugs. I have reinstalled software twice which gets the printer going for a very short time only. It does not recognise the Kodak ink cartridges..! Very frustrating.

Kodak ESP3 installed 2 new cartridges black light


For that problem kindly try doing the ff:

* Re-seat the inks both color and black then try printing
* Re-seat the Printhead of the printer then print again
* if problem still persist call 1800 421 6699 and the technical rep will replace the printhead

Kodak ESP3:paper light flashes red,can't print-is totally useless


kodak has certain problems with esp-3 printers. it cannot give u a cash refund call kodak @ 1800 421 6699 . they will upgrade ur printer and give u a kodak esp-5. they have been giving esp-5 lately in return for esp-3

Kodak esp3 says ink is gone...its actually full and its saying theres no paper and there is im soo aggrevated please respond yo dmp4205882@comcast.net thanks


upgrade the firmware of the printer,before dat, go to www.kodak.com/go/printheadsupport.click on 3rd link on how to replace a printhead. then take cartridges out and printhead out, after 1 minute,insert printhead back into the carriage and install both cartridges, go to kodak aio home center on ur desktop and from there on mai ntenance under help and select printhead cleaning. then try to print.ur problem will be resolved

Our kodak esp-3 is printing a blank page with new ink cartridges.


go to www.kodak.com/go/printheadsupport.click on 3rd link on how to replace a printhead. then take cartridges out and printhead out, after 1 minute,insert printhead back into the carriage and install both cartridges, go to kodak aio home center on ur desktop and from there on maintenance under help and select printhead cleaning. then try to print.ur problem will be resolved

Kodak ESP3 printer flashes red light under color ink. Kodak tech said I needed new printhead. Send one and I installed it but have the same problem.


try replacing the ink cartridges with genuine Kodak ink cartridges and if still does not work call kodak tech support as it will be a printer hardware problem......

Kodak AiO home Center will not open


My son has the same model and issue. I had him go to http://www.kodak.com/global/en/service/downloads/dln_ekn034524.jhtml?pq-path=12667 and get the latest software and firmware update.

Make sure to use the dropdown to select your operating system. The page defaults to XP.

The software is a new version of the AIO home center.

The firmware installer updates the physical printer. Before you run this program be sure to read and understand the instructions.

If both ink cartridges have good levels of ink, and you keep getting the clean the print head issue after updating both the software and the firmware, then call Kodak support. 1-800-421-6699, 7 A.M. to midnight Eastern time, 7 days a week. They will ask you if you put in new cartridges and installed the updates for the firmware and the AiO centre software. Be patient. They will get a solution for you.
