Question about Fostex MR16HD/CD Digital Recorder

Foxtex MR16- WARNING: TOO MANY EVENTS

When I try to record a track this warning message comes up that says TOO MANY EVENTS making it impossible to record. I thought the problem might be that I had recorded over the track too many times, ending in different places each time. But when I tried to erase the track, it wouldn't let me do that either (WARNING: TOO MANY EVENTS).
So what's the problem and how do I fix it?

My problem is exactly the same as the first guy. How the hell can they neglect to tell there are a finite number of operations per track within the overall hard drive recording space!?!? I am in the middle of recording vocals for the best f-ing song I've ever recorded and this s**t happens - what now you f***ing geniuses at Fostex????

What is the error message? Have you tried DVD+R discs? Have you ever recorded with this device in the past? What were the events prior to you receiving the error?

I bought an Alesis Masterlink ML 9600 for my church but have come to realize that its operation manual is not the best written thing I've ever read. I have it connected for analog input from my audio...

Have you thought the posibillity that the track is too short so there is plenty of remaing "time"to write to the disk? Try putting some more tracks in the recording line. Don't forget that the mean time for recording on audio cd is about 74 minutes (or 99 tracks, whatever comes first).

Try this and in case of a problem or clarification, don't hesitate to post.

Fostex mr16 eq/presets

In short - No. The Eq menu is the only way to affect the frequency levels on the inputs, but if you select stereo buss and listen to the inputs, you can hear the effect of each Eq on the relevant input.

When done the machine turns off automatically, and you turn it onagain. Every time mine has stopped working this has fixed it. This might work with yours as well.
